Title: Wow I wish I was good at Photoshop...
Description: Then Id make fresh sigs like yall
JuGGaLo-UniT - May 7, 2006 04:24 AM (GMT)
Is that how the majority of you make your sigs, Photoshop or similar program, or do you have ppl make em for you? It was all I could do to put words on mine
and just realized I misspelled espionage...nnngggghhhh
molsen74 - May 7, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
lol. umm, typically u would ask someone to make one for u in the computer corner, or learn how to do it yourself

I'll move this to digital art. ;)
I use the GIMP and Photoplus 6, both of which are free, and are fairly similar to Photoshop but don't cost $600. If you haven't got Photoshop, then I recommend downloading those two. Get 'em here:

The GIMP? Sounds kinky :P I started out with Photoplus, very good for beginners, there are less complicated options than Photoshop.

GIMP = GNU Image Manipulation Program
Basically I just use Photoplus. The text work is a little limited, but layer work is straight forward and rendering's simple. I use GIMP for my backgrounds, because there are tons more filters, etc.

Yeah Photoshop mainly, I have the program but it's tricky to use imho... but I know the basic stuff and can play around with layers and change colours/contrast, apply filters etc.......
And now, JuGGaLo-UniT, that you're part of MGC, post in the MGC Private Forums area, more specifically the Graphic Request Topic and good 'ol Sigint will make one for you that matches with the MGC sigs. Just tell him what picture you want in it and he'll make one. Or try making one yourself, it doesn't matter at all whether you choose to have a MGC one, it's just that most of us choose to! B)

Yeah I just learned to use Photoshop, it takes some time to get all the stuff you need for it, fonts, brushes.....but in the end, it's great because you can say that YOU made your sig.
JuGGaLo-UniT - May 7, 2006 07:53 PM (GMT)
Thanx Krypton, I was actually on there right after I got accepted so Imma root around for a suitable pic.
And Ive got Photoshop but Ive got no clue how to work it, except make stuff look like glass and brush strokes and crap. Actually Im a pretty good artist, pen and paper style, and I like to scan my work after its inked and use the light pen thingy to color it but I havent had the gear in forever.

Yea, its extensive, but it depends on for what are you going to use it..you can make lotss of things in there
that's why I like it, because you keep trying to do something, or to discover new features or effects, and suddenly you realize that you made something cool.
iAn - May 19, 2006 05:53 AM (GMT)
photoshop is soooo extensive that you simply cannot master 100% of it.
even professional digital artists only use a portion of what photoshop provides.
