Title: the plot *sploilers*
Description: so it wasn't 'snake'?

As with MGA the plot lost me a bit, was the character you were playing a snake clone or solid snake himself?
Was the whole premise that the new metal gear could implant personalities into peoples bodies' using the EGO system? Why is that neccessary?

To the first question, you play as Snakes Clone, because Snake died in an explosion. The second question, the new MG does this because think about it, A guy with a STINGER is not gonna shoot if he suddenly because a peace loving guy.

So the snake is a clone? Isnt he a test subject?
MAHooson - July 2, 2006 10:09 AM (GMT)
I know the Acid! games aren't cannon to the MGS series but are we supposed to believe the real Snake is dead in MGA!2?

when did he "die" in the MGA series?
molecular_snake - July 17, 2006 07:52 PM (GMT)
he never did die he moved to alaska than mgs1 takes place.

MGA has nothing to do with MGS.

after mga snake does something in zanzibar and gets brain damage or something like that and is brain washed to think that he is'nt solid snake
MAHooson - July 28, 2006 01:59 PM (GMT)
it says in one of the conversations that he is a clone of snake with the memory of Snake implanted into him because he was a test subject
Solid Snake The Great - July 28, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)
It's confusing, but you don't play as Solid Snake. You play as his clone, because in one of the Conversations it is revealed that they recovered Snake's body from the Lobito Island incident, from MGA1. But, Solid Snake didn't die in the Lobito Island Incident, so there is a flaw in the plot.

it's an other cover up by who know who probs snake is still alive at that point and he is somewhere in hiding and you play as a clone

Where would they have got the DNA from then? They need the DNA to make a clone.

Ok listen up people cos im gonna blow you away!!!
MGA is a side story the the mgs series. It takes place in 2016 and involves the real snake. In MGA2, you play a clone of snake, whose cells were taken from solid snake after he "died" after the lobito island incident.BUT, he didn't really die, obviously. But you're now wondering "HOW?", well if some of you remember, in SOL, Snake convinced everyone he was dead then too, I'm not saying he used Liquid's body again, but it's obvious someone made up the Snake dying incident just to cover up the fact of Snake's existence(he is a secret agent when you think about it), so here we have the clone of Snake, who's just destroyed metal gear and got his friends back, END OF STORY GOODBYE NO MORE QUESTIONS, of course we're left with questions at the end anyway, but we're not going to get any more answers, so I suggest you leave it at that!
P.S
the events of MGA/2 happen after mgs1 and 2
MAHooson - September 8, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
MGA is not cannon to the series. This has been established numerous times, HK himself has said it is not cannon, just as Ghost Babel and Snake's Revenge were not.
Can this topic be locked?

Yeah, it had a completley different director. He looked like an asshole if you ask me, destroying Snake's name like that.. What a bitch.
