Some of us have started our next year of school, and others will be starting it at the end of this week. This brings us to the ultimate opportunity. school will allow us to have a recruitment boost, in which we spread the word about the Forums to our classmates, and get a large number of people to join up.

I'd like everybody to do as much as they can to help with this recruitment boost. Talk to friends and in-school acquaintances about MGSF, and get the recruitment counts up high enough that we may be able to reach 400 members in the next month.

Think about it.

Heh, sorry Liquidon, but nobody - and I mean nobody - that I know would ever touch a forum. Plus, you need to get every notice you pin up around school approved by the grade principal. There's no chance I'd be able to use those little cutouts, as their pertinence to school is 0. I also don't think it would be very wise to have too many people from the same place visiting here. Soon it would devolve into a "Talk about your day at school" forum.

My way was the truth tho. I have conversation logs on my PC that can prove it. I was in no way trying to be offencive. I was just putting my point across.

wow, settle down. he was just explaining why it wouldn't do much good at our school, most of the people wouldn't go to a forum, and I personally don't really know any people that would. If we did meet someone who was into MGS, then we would most likely tell them about the forums, but we wouldn't just randomly tell everyone we know to come here

Well, let's face it. As new school years start, we start making new friends. As they begin to trust us more, we should start talling them about these forums. I mean, it's just how Rock*Star got her BF "Mako" to come here. She gained hios trust, and he listened to her about this place. I'm saying that we have an opportunity, and we should seize it.

Or do what i do, Walk home from school holding a sign infront of you.

Just talk to people who trust you. Make a conversation out of it. Come on, do I have to spell it out entirely for you?!

It sounds like a good idea and all, but i'd tell most of my freinds, they'd sign up and never make a single post

Here's the trouble, Liquidon. I'm a fairly nerdy kid; I get straight A's, used to wear galsses, and I don't dress very preppy (although I have just discovered how great American Eagle is :P), but I hang out with mainly skaters and jocks, as I played football my frosh and soph year, and have played baseball with many of my classmates since we were 6. I'm not saying I have a rep to maintain - because I don't - but I would definately say that I would get some attacks my way. If there are people in my classes who I think would enjoy this place, I'll tell them, but my best friends wouldn't be caught dead here - unless this was NCAAFootballForums.com.

but on my birthday I showed Iron Snake this site, and i said... Register God damned, (not really). Cuz he's a MGS fan.

And I think most off the dutch people about my age don't want to register because this is an English site + language, (not that my English is good)

My point is to get the attention of people who have NOT tried yet and convince them to do it, which is why I'm getting so p*ssed about you all saying it's a dumb idea! It's not really helping with this at all!

I've got a good friend of mine who's a major video game freak, and I sent him a copy of Solidus's "Vice City Fuel". Hopefully he got the message at the end of the video "Please Visit www.mgsforums.com".
He'll probably join up, if I talk with him about it enough. I can be very convincing.
BTW I'll have to probably edit this post when he joins up. He doesn't like being called a freak in any sense, lol.

1 problem with that. Vice city vid with MGSForums at the end. We need a MGS vid for advertising. I never said it was a dumb idea either, i just said it wouldnt work for me.

Another way to advertise is put www.mgsforums.com in your MSN name. It helps.

i suppose even if this forums runs around MGS not all the forum catergorys are MGS based, so theres is something for everyone here

Because some people don't consider the idea, and this is useful in reminding them that there is yet another opportunity that has only recently become available.

There are two friend of mine who will join. The first one will join as soon as he get broadband internet and the second said he will think about it.

Yeah, but were also coming closer to the date for MGS3 and more popular the more higher we get on search engines etc.
