As you may or may not have noticed, there is now a "Test-Forum". As of now, all forum games, and other threads of the sort (asking about peoples AIM, MSN, YIM names) go there. Any topic that qualifies as spam will me moved there. The forum is for fun, which is why posts there will not count. Hopefully post-count matters little to you anyways. Any questions, comments or suggestions, post in here.

How so? I think that this forum has reached a stage where games should be for fun, not for a statistical bonus. If you people are still obesessed with post count, maybe you should start making some interesting topics that involve actual discussion.

hmmm shouldn't you just call it a spam forum or make two seperate forums to both represent spam and forum games?

but i don think post count should count in that forum though.

I'm not keen. If post count don't matter then what's the point in it? I see it as a rather useless area which will most likely cause confusion and such.

For one, you say this new forum is for fun? By that it seems you are saying the rest of the forum isn't, in which case who would really want to be here if they don't enjoy it? Maybe they can grab their MGS information or whatever they need but this place being so desperately monitored for spam it may seem not the greatest place to stay in and as you are claiming more members are needed, this won't help.
Similarly, it can get confusing. People don't want to sit and think whether their topic is worthy to put outside of the Test Forum or not. You may be saying, 'it can be moved' but this would probably cause too much hassle when you are throwing topics around judging if they're valuable enough to have your posts counted for.
Also, if someone such as 'Rock*Star' only posts in those type of threads which have all been moved into the Test Forum then it will lower their post count which will then make it more harder for them to get into organizations as they may not have enough posts because they haven't counted and therefore won't meet the requirements.
And to backtrack pretty much everything. If you consider post count not meaning anything then what actually is the point in this forum? Think about it, you don't care but you made it so people won't gain any posts? Doesn't seem to add up to me.
I like the thinking behind it and how you are trying to improve this place but I believe it's just not worth it. Just my thoughts.

Of course the rest of the forum is for fun. That's the point of a forum. Since you guys are being babies about this, I'm going to take out the Test Forum. As for the rest of your post, you're making things way too complicated. I'm pretty sure everyone here can tell what is spam and what isn't. And if a topic starts out as a legitimate topic but devolves into spam, it'll be locked. Simple as that. Also, if all of your posts are in threads such as 'This or That', you obviously haven't grasped the idea that a board is for discussion. Your remarks on post count are pretty thin, too. The point of this forum is to talk about Metal Gear Solid. There isn't anyone here except for a few members who were here when that's all this place was. The Off-Topic section, and pretty much everything else was made after the fact. Maybe this test forum just showed what many of you are here for.

But anyways, I guess this was a bad idea. Or maybe it was a good one and you people can't see past your own precious post count to realize it.
