molecular_snake - August 9, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
wait what country are you in?
Dani - August 9, 2006 11:30 PM (GMT)
Rented it, a few weeks ago. I live in the UK btw.
molecular_snake - August 10, 2006 06:55 AM (GMT)
sorry about it i live in the usa and ours came out on march 24, 2005. so how do you like it
Snake Liquid - August 13, 2006 02:31 AM (GMT)
Wait, explain what that is. I don't get it.
Dani - August 13, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)
The Solid Eye is a pair of 3-D goggles that comes with Metal Gear Ac!d 2. It enables you to view the game from a 3-D prospective. They do work I guess, but konami could have made a better effort rather than providing a cardboard rectangle with holes.
Yackemflaber - August 13, 2006 11:02 PM (GMT)
cant you just look at it crosseyed? or do the goggles help you do that?
molecular_snake - August 14, 2006 01:21 AM (GMT)
it helps you if you were to cross your eyes by yourself you would get tired and your eyes would suffer :(

OH! Of course the Japanese version is better
Dani - September 7, 2006 08:13 PM (GMT)
So wtf did they supply a f**king box in europe?
Ocelot11 - September 7, 2006 08:29 PM (GMT)
hmm, maybe it's different for the US, i better get it and find out
GrayFox - September 8, 2006 03:43 AM (GMT)
Nope. Its the cardboard one here in the U.S. as well. I kindof think its cool in an ironic sortof way. Ya know? A MG periphial made of cardboard.
Solscud007 - September 8, 2006 05:32 PM (GMT)
The EUR and US version are teh same. A rectanglular box made of paper.
The Japanese version is better but still made of cardboard. but it encloses the whole image. the US/EUR version let light in from the sides.
Ocelot11 - September 8, 2006 08:37 PM (GMT)
that's pretty stupid, just because Kojima lives in Japan, doesnt he mean he should just get a good one only for Japan
DJ Gunner - September 12, 2006 04:35 PM (GMT)
I know. Its hardly going to cost more to supply it to EU and US. Sometimes I don't understand him...
Ocelot11 - September 12, 2006 07:37 PM (GMT)
i guess he's just doing the best for his country
Shyne-Bryght - September 15, 2006 09:05 PM (GMT)
Maybe its not him, you can't blame Koj, think of it like this, maybe Japan was the easiest country to test their plastic one as a prototype, before they send it here.
Also Koj isn't incharge of stuff like that, he just makes the games.
Ocelot11 - September 15, 2006 09:07 PM (GMT)
yea, Konami's in charge, i wonder if some of the stuff blows up while they're testing them
Shyne-Bryght - September 15, 2006 09:36 PM (GMT)
Hmm I suppose Konami is in charge, but not Kojima, not for the Solid Eyes anyway, well anyway, lets just hope they bring out a better version rather than that cardboard soon.
Ocelot11 - September 15, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
they should at least make it plastic
Shyne-Bryght - September 15, 2006 09:56 PM (GMT)
Yeah, the cardboard coudl easily break under the slightest pressure, and people liek leave PSPs on a table or desk etc, its really too breakable, a plastic one woudl be much better.
No-oneSpecial - September 28, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
Yeah I got that, it's a laugh. Really all you can watch on the theatre are Japanesse models in seductive poses, and the very little occassion, a MGS3 video.
Personally I hate MGA2, it's far too fast paced and intense for a card game. Not to mention, Snake looks pathetic. As soon as I bought Syphon Filter I canned this.
LarryTermite - October 12, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
I'm considering getting a PSP and id like to know, do the goggles come for free?
Dani - October 12, 2006 09:02 PM (GMT)
The goggles come free with Metal Gear Ac!d 2, yes.

lol I can imagine it:
Konami Representative: Today we're going to test Solid Eyes prototype 346. Subject, would you please place your eyes over the circular covers and power on the system.
*the tester looks through the holes and powers up the PSP*
KR: As you can see..
*BOOM*
KR: Oh god..
