Title: Okay, Little Help?
Solid Snake The Great - September 7, 2006 05:51 PM (GMT)
I recently bought MGS1 and Special Missions. Yes, I know that I am extremely late. When I put the MGS1 disk in my PS2, I can play, but if I put in the MGS Special Missions disk in, then put the MGS1 disk in it says ERROR:Wrong DISK. Is there any way I can get Special Missions to work on my PS2?

Hey there, better late than never! :D But I've had the exact same problem with my copies of the two games, VR missions won't work on a ps2, if u still have a psone I would advise you to dig it out. Also When you finish MGS on a ps2 it refuses to save at the end, which doesn't allow you to get the special items. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hope this helps in some way. :)

What? I won't be able to save on my PS2? OMFG.

You can save it all the way up to the end of the game (on your psone memory card), it just refuses to save right at the end after the credits have rolled. Sorry man.

Yeah the Special Missions disk won’t work in the ps2, I know because I nearly threw the thing out the window in a fit of rage <_< (but lucky I didn’t… it just got a few hard smash’s).

Yeah… that’s a lie!
My copy of MGS saved perfectly at the end and I played it on a ps2. So you should be fine. ^_^

I'll tell ya now I ain't no liar.
Everyone else I know has had exactly the same problem as me, the game will run the credits and then refuse to save. Unless your outside the uk it might be a fault with uk pal only versions of the game. I'm not sure.
Future reference I wouldn't call ppl liars, some might not take it as nicely as me. :thumb:

Okay guys, I heard what I needed to hear. Cool it before a fight breaks out. I have had problems with PS1 games on my PS2 before, and my friends haven't had that problem. I guess it depends on what condition the disk is in.

well do you have the old PS2 or the new one?
