Title: The Dr. Phil Topic. [Re-Opened]
Description: Brought to you by Me and Otacon.
Solidus - September 24, 2006 07:28 PM (GMT)
I dont even watch Dr.Phil, but hes a problem solver. Me and Otacon have been talking like we do. And we thought "Why dont we try and give our knowledge and experience to help the members"
We are being serious, we will try and help you with any problem. Girl/Boy friend trouble, relationships, school, work. Whatever.
Just post here and one of us will try and answer. Please, just leave it to us for the time being, we want to see how this works out.
And please, dont be silly about it, no spam, flame, anything. Or I WILL give warnings out, as will Otacon.
Thanks, and let us try and help you!

Dear Dr. Price:
I can't get laid. I can't find a woman that is into the whole talking to me thing. Unless that woman is in her late 20's and up.
-Matt.
Solidus - September 24, 2006 07:50 PM (GMT)
Puppy,
Is that all your trying to do it for? Basically thats not a good start. Im not saying you dont, but smarten up, get some nice aftershave going and head out. Yeah, your 15, but you can still do it. Are there any school dances? They are the perfect opportunity.
Once you get experience under your belt you will feel confident in trying again. Trust me, I know.
Otacon - September 24, 2006 08:00 PM (GMT)
Puppy,
As Solidus said, Just get some nice smells on the go, some smart casual clothes and make sure you look tidy. Get some mates together to go into town and go catcha film or something. Or even just going into the mall (Thats what you have over there I think) with a few mates to go shopping/looking around. You'll always find people that will talk to you.
If your doing it just to get laid your not going to get anywhere without properly going to a culb and becomins a male slut. Which will get you a reputation. And those are hard to get rid of :)
Get to know a few girls and see more and more of them and build up a relationship!
Puppy - September 24, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Maybe "laid" was too extreame.
Haveing AS makes this problem harder. I have no friends that are willing to take the time to do shit with me. I dunno why.
Otacon - September 24, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
Your in high school right? There must be some clubs or recreational things that you enjoy doing that the school offers. In there, you should find people just like you who like what you like.
Also, Out of school activities could help you enormously. A hobby of some sort :)
Solidus - September 24, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)
I remember going to a Youth Club. And yes, they do them for older Teenagers. Very good places.
Puppy - September 24, 2006 10:40 PM (GMT)
I'm a homeschooler. I don't leave my house much. I lost all of my friends after I left school in 4th year.
Otacon - September 24, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
Try and find something to do when other people are out of school then. Like said above, a youthclub, or a hobby :)
La Li Lu Le Lo - September 25, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
Damn puppy. No offense, but I'm glad I'm not in your shoes. Your life is pretty sad man. Hookers will help too. Get a cheap one for $20 or so. I think you're friends might not want to spend time with you, since you may be a bit self-centered. I for one hate people like that. All they do is talk about themselves. Listen to these guys too. You've got to sort this shit out. There's nothing wrong with older women. I've actually lost my virginity to a chick that was in her 20s. I was only 17 at the time. Try to act normal. Most of them don't like perverts. I used to be a big one myself. Sorry for stealing your spotlights Solidus and Otacon.
I have a problem myself. I'm gaining weight. I was never over-weight in my entire lifetime. Now, I'm growing stretch marks around my armpits. Cocoa Butter won't even work. I don't understand it. Some overgrown fat ass people don't have any stretch marks.
Solidus - September 25, 2006 05:54 AM (GMT)
We will just carry on.
Wanna know something? Your in the same boat as me. It started when I moved out to stay with the girlfriend. Are you Working? Sporting? I work now and usually go on long walks to take pictures. I also went and bought some dumbells just to make my arms a bit stronger. Its helping me lose weight actually, because I have noticed. Im gonna need a belt for my trousers.
And Coco Butter? The real stuff you need to use is called "Bio Oil" which is specifically designed for Stretchmarks etc. What this does is fade them away over time and make them not as noticeable.
Hope I helped.
Otacon - September 25, 2006 11:54 AM (GMT)
Also the gym might help. Turn the excess fatty tissues into muscle. Bit like one of my mates, Weighs 20 stone. Isnt exactly the tallest (About 6foot) and is mainly all muscle. Because he used to turn it into muscle :)
He's now lifting 16stone plus weights on a bench. :)
Just keep at something long enough and have the determination and it'll all go fine
Ocelot11 - September 25, 2006 08:02 PM (GMT)
well, i have to say, i have the exact opposite problem, im too skinny lol, and i eat ALOT too, i dont know why im not gaining

Metabolism. Im the same.
Eat all you want now but as you grow up try to control your diet a bit better because it can suddenly change and you'll gain LOADS and QUICKLY. :)
Midna - September 25, 2006 08:32 PM (GMT)
I dont have a certain problem at the moment or anything but i would just like to say how cool it is of you guys doing this, its great. Definately makes this place feel a lot more welcome.. :D
Otacon - September 25, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
Thanks :) Was mainly solidus's idea, and to be honest.... Its gone pretty well.
Luximus - September 25, 2006 09:11 PM (GMT)
people say i look fine, but I really just wanna trim the fat. I mostly wanna work on my legs and abs, basically, i wanna look hot in a bikini. I've got the figure, i just need to trim the fat. what shall i do?
La Li Lu Le Lo - September 25, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
Otacon, I used to be like that too. I ran track, played soccer, swam countless laps and now I'm just, well almost a couch potato. I used to eat all the time and not gain a single pound. In fact, right now I feel like eating something.
Do they sell Bio Oil here in the US? I never even heard of that, but I'll make sure to go over to Walgreens and take a look.
Solidus - September 25, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
I had a look on that website, and it doesnt look like. But try not to be embarassed about things. Just ask someone if they have any treatments for stretchmarks. If they ask why and you get afraid, just say its for your mum during pregnancy or something.
Oh and I edited the quote out of your post, I want to keep this topic tidy.
La Li Lu Le Lo - September 25, 2006 09:51 PM (GMT)
That woman embarrasses me enough as it is. She makes me pick up her birth control pills for crying out loud. Not to mention female underwear, bras, etc.
I'm about to go biking right now. I hope that'll take care of a few pounds.

Well, I'd say, start off getting some situps and general ab's workouts on the go to start to tone yourself out. I used to (Majorly use on used) do 100situps a day. But I wanted full on washboard style chest heh.
Start off doing something simple like 10-20 a day and move up to 50. Even if its 25 when you get home and 25 before you go to bed. After a week or two you will seriously notice an improvement. As for the legs, General walking, running, cycling, swimming etc can do them up in no time. Also you can get some things that you put inbetween your thighs and they put resistance against them (it builds up muscle and gets the legs toned) Not sure if you need these however because as you said people say you look fine!
@La, If she makes you pick up those things then you can just drop in a few other things for yourself and they wont notice! :)
Luximus - September 25, 2006 11:09 PM (GMT)
about those resistance things...are you talking about slim patches? like the ones from loreal?
Midna - September 25, 2006 11:44 PM (GMT)
I used to be quite active...then i discovered MGO...i need to get back in shape lmao
Solid Snake8 - September 26, 2006 12:02 AM (GMT)
You could take up a sport. Ever since I started taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Martial Art) you can lose a few pounds in 2 hours just out of sweat... It's the best exercise I have ever tried.

Not sure what those are. The thing I was on about were an exercise tool.
Goes between your legs and you squeeze together. Sometimes they have a machine that does this at the gym :)

Seriously, those helped me out. I used to be on the soccer team but then I quite & started gaming alot. Most of my friends are jocks so I kinda felt left out, so I joined the track team & last year I tried out for the baseball team & make the cut. I feel great & I finally started getting my abs :D ...
Otacon - September 26, 2006 01:45 PM (GMT)
Technically swimmings the best you can do because you use every muscle.
Also can we keep the topic on track and cleaner :) Anyone who doesnt understand please read the first post.
Red Queen - September 26, 2006 03:12 PM (GMT)
Okay, nice topic, I decided to give it a go.
I am a girl, but I can't make myself to dance, i hate dancing actualy, so whenever i go to club where pepole usualy dance I feel embarased, because I can't. Any useful advice for me here?
Solidus - September 26, 2006 03:31 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I get the fear too. I cant dance my own. But I can dance with someone (after a few drinks) but serious, its much easier to dance with someone else. Especially if it’s a slow dance. I cant dance at all, but its about having fun. In a club, noone really bothers to look anyway because you always get the one person making a fool of them selves, but its all good.
When you give it a good shot, it will give you a big confidence boost.
And thanks for not clogging up the topic any more.
Red Queen - September 27, 2006 07:29 PM (GMT)
Whoa, wasn't expecting that from you Ryan, but I assume you took the advice you just gave me and it must have helped!
i am certanly to try, this weekend may be the time, so i will just go with the flow and not worry. don't know if it will go smoothly the very 1st time, but I certanly will try.
Thanx. ^_^
Chiok - September 28, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)

Solidus - September 28, 2006 06:56 PM (GMT)
Haha, brings back memories.
Well, what I can suggest is that to write out a timetable and work your revision around your normal life. Something else I learned before is to use post-its and stick them around everywhere with little bits of help on them. It would work, you just need to get used to it. Basically, do some revision, then rest. If you can come up with a routine and get used to it, I think you would be fine. Dont listen to the parents and revise 24-7, do it your own way, revise and hour, then have a break on the PC, or go out, whatever. You have to pace yourself.
Otacon might be better at explaining this than me. He did better than me!
But I hope I can help.
Corpse - September 28, 2006 07:27 PM (GMT)
Whatever you do though, do not stray away from this routine. You have no idea how difficult what you are going to do will be on you.
Yackemflaber - September 29, 2006 02:55 AM (GMT)
Awesome idea for a thread (should be stickied in my opinion, or maybe even a full forum)
I dont have anything to say right now, however being a sophomore in high school I can assure you that I will find this topic useful in the future.
Thanks for thinking about the rest of us and making this.

I'm failing chemistry. I'm a college senior and need this class to graduate. I'm signing up for a tutor. What else can I do?
Ghost Sniper - September 29, 2006 03:56 AM (GMT)
I'm too damn lazy to do anything. I rarely goes outside to chill with my friends lately and most of time, I'm either sleeping or sitting front my computer and browse sites/boards.
How could I exactly fix my laziness?
Solidus - September 29, 2006 07:13 AM (GMT)
Thanks flaber. :)
Pimpael, a tutor might be a good idea. My dad suggested one for me to help me with my Maths. I didn’t have one. And now that I look back on it, it might have been a good idea. If it’s to graduate, how long is it until then? I suggest that you really focus on the things ahead and what you want. If you come on here, open up a Chemistry site aswell and have a flick back and for. I don’t really know what much else there is to do, but take this seriously and make everyone proud. Then reward yourself however you wish at the end, like spending a month non-stop posting on here. Haha. Anything else, just make a post.
Ghost Sniper, yes, ive had this case before, even though I had a girlfriend. When staying at my house, we eventually started going out every week, it was great. Now, I sometimes go out a few times a week to see a mate or something, and still have enough time for all this. Maybe take up a hobby? Seeing as im now doing Photography etc, it means that im out the house a lot. Maybe doing something where you have to travel around will work, its even good to go for walks with mates for a laugh. I don’t know what you have in your area, but im sure you could find something.
Basically, text them, IM them, it doesn’t matter, just say “You want to go out or something?”
It really is good to get out, everyone has to do it. Or what I do now is go to the pub with my Dad, Uncle and Gramp when the football is on. I don’t like football, but we have a laugh and that’s the main thing! So again, it would also be a great idea to go out with the family, that way, you know them, and can enjoy yourself more until you want to go out with friends.
Anything else, just post.
Otacon - September 29, 2006 12:21 PM (GMT)
Pimpeal. I had a tutor for maths. He was good like but the only reason I went to him was because my mum made me and he looked like sylvester stallone.
Chiok, I was the same. I think I was doing 2 projects a night at one time because I left it all so late :( Honestly, If you just start it when you get it you'll eventually carry on doing them.

To start off, I'm in no way some great dancer. Horrible even. But one thing I've learned about dancing, is it's only about style, and technique, if you let it be. Personally, when I hear a song I like come on, I move in whatever way my body deem's correct for the beat. It's fun! And that's what dancing's all about, having fun. Other people arent going to be laughing if you've got a big smile on your face, and look like your having the time of your life. They might even join in.
If I could make a suggestion, I say you try "stupid" dancing. Will smith used to do it in every episode of fresh prince, you send your body parts flailing in all directions, while keeping a dead serious face on. Very fun.
Also, sorry if Im not supposed to be giving adive. I just felt compelled. It'll probably happen again too.
Solidus - September 29, 2006 02:11 PM (GMT)
Well, I did say in the first post. I guess people really don’t read.
I just don’t want this topic jumbled it. People ask, we answer, and so on.
