nebdy here play CS:Source?

I use to play it, but the amount of cheaters and glitchers annoyed me so I stopped.

I use to play it too, but got overdosed.

meh have it but it got boring. Now i play MGO. IMO much better but has more glitchers though.

I still play it from time to time. I have kind of strayed away from the original game and now play gun game...

plus on MGO its really common to get booted from a match for being too good
at least that doesnt happen on CSS

i remember being uber good at Day of Defeat. now THAT was what online shooters where all about.

Day of Defeat Source is awesome. My PC cannot handle Source so i can't play it anymore.

I've heard of the CS games - but never bought/played/seen-it-played at all!

CS:s is good but always and will be into DoD:s.. I love dod and play cal and tpg

Nah, I was way too obsessed with CS 1.6 and was afraid that same would happen to me if I played CS.source. Plus I kinda got bored of the game actualy, its still way over-rated.

so what makes you guys enjoy DoDS better than CSS?
Im only curious, since I havent played DoDS, although I do play call of duty, is it better than that?

DoD makes you feel more important and useful than CS does. its also tougher and requires a good team.

teamwork is essential in DoD, and your tactics too. its much more realistic than CS. but basically any shooter is more realistic.

the guns are harder to control and actually require you to 'skill up' and master.

sniping, for instance, requires tons of skill and will take time to master. but once you do, you will be a force to be reckoned with.

and you will be using the enviroment to blend in. snipers tend to lay prone on rubble and it will really help them to blend in. and most sniper shots are one hit kills.

but then again, if a sniper's position has been comprimised, then he had better move his ass to another position.


anywho, the main thing about the DoD games is about being a fully fuctional part of the team.

you will utilize many different tactics via voice commands.

there are also huge battles that are unforgettable. for instance, there are points in where the whole team is depending on you, a simple rifleman, to defend the last flag when hordes of enemy soldiers are advancing slowly while raining bullets and grenades at you.

or the intense battles over no man's land where the loss of one soldier at either side could mean the team's downfall.


CS simply pales to DoD in terms of gameplay and fun, imo. its just so much more satisfying and rewarding.

there where many a times after a long and tough match where i just sat back and thought, "damn. now that was epic. a battle like that should not be forgotten."

but that was just the regular DoD. i havent tried DoDs, yet.

and I'm assuming you only get one life per round, right? because that's one thing that's flawed with most games these days (especially Call of Duty) that you get more than one life per round. (although there are some games on CoD which do have only one life)

Personally, I hate DoD source.

Counter-Strike is the revolutionary mod to Half-Life, and more than like a million people are playing CS.

The game is set up in Terrorist vs. Counter-Terrorist battles, and the objective is to complete the main objective or kill the other team.

CS definitely deserves its own chat topic.

I actually havent played any other version besides CSS, but I think I would like to try the origional Counter Strike, partially because I really like the origional Half-Life engine

and hey, does anyone know why the CT Shield wasnt included in CSS? I would have really wanted to try it out

The only good Source games are HL2 and HL.

Play 1.6 for the true CS experience.

As for the favourite things:
CTs OWN, I R M4 mastah, practicaly the only weapon besides magnum sniper i can propperly use, and DeDust is my all time favourite map, because it's not that bug, and its simple! :)

I finally got a legit version of CS:S and CS 1.6. :lol: No more bot play for me!

CS is pretty basic. There have been much better FPS's for like 10 years now lol. Play FPS games on PS3, way better, Resistance is sick online.

Well I don't have the money for a PS3 or CoD4 even for the PC, so I just got CS Source, haha.

It's fun to me. :P

I still play it, but not as much.

It gets repetitive on the objectives and all but the gameplay itself is good.

I play CS:1.6 from time to time, it never gets boring :)

Maaaaan this game is so old! I used to play LAN tournaments with my friends on CS 1.5. Still, it was a great time. No nobody plays it near me. <_<

And considering Source has all these cool looking guns, I could just skin my guns to look twice as good! Like that M9 Beretta Tranquilizer that I found, yeah the one in MGS2, :), that took place of my USP. However I did find, the sickest, and best, skin ever for CS:S, an MGS4 M4A1 in place for the M4A1
