Title: Operation
Description: A Goal of peace.
Trane - November 1, 2006 06:41 PM (GMT)

Ok well I've noticed and I think everyone else has forums well everyones at each others throats even lately staff manages to get blame. This is why I want to make a squad "The un-offical Peace Keepers". I call it Operation for what were trying to achieve peace on the forums and because it sounds pretty solid. I'm being very very paticular on who I let in no requirements but who I think is potential enough. I'm not going to be biased with this just who I think could help(you would be surprised who I'd pick). Member count does not matter top me as long as we have enough uhh whats the word power. Don't take me as a bad guy I'm just trying to get things settled because this is ludacris around forums lately. I think If I had a group we could do something about it instead of just joining a group to wear the cool button. If I notice anything corrupt is going on this org I will adress the problem seriously. Join me if you will.

[Nobody really has a marked position we are not in the army were here with a mission as fun as the other stuff is this is serious. So I will Create 3 Ranks Rookie, Amateur and Professional. If your professional you have a high chance for an elite rank it is possible to start off in amateur or Professional depending on my judgement]
I know why not let the staff do it this is why I say un-official becuase not saying staff are bad and nobody wants anytihng to do with them but in alot of cases people work better with respected peers. Its not liek were going around issuing warnings. But we are here to think of ideas and just try our best to stop the hatred.
So please help and Join Today!
I did manage to make some graphics BTW

I'm not quite sure exactly what to say.
It's a nice idea and all, but the recruitment seems rushed, the ranks need to be better laid out to be taken more seriously.
You need a probation sig, and I think more info could be a good thing.
Good luck though.

Well with the positions nobody really has a higher rank I suppose. Its all in process though.

I'd like to say, it's a good effort, but even members know that non-mods who try to act like mods only cause just more trouble. How exactly do you plan on being the "unofficial Peace-Keepers" without getting in the way or anything?
Trane - November 1, 2006 07:05 PM (GMT)
Thats why I'm getting a group to help. I'm just using some peer skills that I have for now. Perhaps talk over msn give them another outlook resolve conflict. Now I know what you mean people trying to act like mods thats my pet peeve I plan to do notihng as the such this is completly independent.

No offence, but your recruitment topic isn't the best. You need to put some more effort into positions, structure and the name.
Operation what? It's a bit silly just calling it Operation. You don't see the army calling their operation's just Operation.
You have only 6 ranks! How do you expect your org/group to grow with only 6 ranks? You need more ranks for your org/group to flourish.
Your graphics are a bit muddled up. You need to set on 1 style. I like your sig, I'll give you that, but I don't like your button or your avatar. It crashes with the good sig.
To me, it seems like you're trying to be a staff member. If you want to be staff, this is the wrong way to go about it. In fact, this is exactly the worst thing you could do if you want to be on staff. There are only a few un-satisfied members, who think the rules are unreasonable because they have been told off for breaking them.
Rules are there because they are supposed to be obeyed. It helps to maintain forum structure and laws. This seems like it will grow into an org/group full of forum rebels and rule-breakers.
Anyway, good luck with your org/group.

A nice attempt at creating an organisation, but they require a lot of effort and thought, and you must be willing to grow it from the ground up. The description seems alright, but unless you want to make a forum war, there really is no need for the part about people at each other's throats and staff involvement.
As has been said, the graphics clash; there is no fluid flow between them.
As for the ranks, they need work too.
But good luck, of course. ;)

Yeah Colin, there are already some forum peacekeeps. They're called mods.
M-o-d-s. Yeah?
Good luck. ;)

Not much hope for the button ever being used if there's a maximum of six members... :ph43r:
Also, every org should have a public chat topic in the appropriate forum, so go for it.
Good luck. :thumb:

I thought all new orgs had to be validated by the staff
NINJA - November 1, 2006 08:06 PM (GMT)
Seems like that was forgotten.^^
Good luck with this Colin. Although SSTG makes strong points.

Doesn't say that in the Organization's ReadMe. But, if that was a rule not listed, then my mistake.

Let me say I don't care about graphics, positions and all that jazz. I'm here for one thing thats my goal. Its not six positions its just the elite ones. the rest there aren't specific ones just ranks.

I know I'm not trying to act like a mod let me get that clear nothing like one its toally different but I do want to put an effort in for this forum.
Solid Snake The Great - November 1, 2006 08:19 PM (GMT)
Well, graphics and positions play a huge part in the successfulness of your org, or any org. If I were going to start an org, I would think seriously hard about these things before I start an org.
Trane - November 1, 2006 08:22 PM (GMT)
The idea is all that counts. I'm not looking for a bunch of members. Just a few members willing to help and know there way around this forum. I do care about this being sucessful but not in that perspective. To you sucessful must be having the most members that aren't n00bs. Me I just want a few solid repped members that can help.
NINJA - November 1, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
So you're not planning on being official or anything..? Why isn't the chat up man?

But how can you help? By taking mods jobs off them? It's silly. In fact, it's ludicrous. Mods are appointed because staff agree they have potential. If staff believe you have potential, you'll be contacted. It's like forcing an issue that may or may not ever happen in the future.
Trane - November 1, 2006 08:36 PM (GMT)
Take it to chat. But while I'm posting.
How many times must I tell everyone I'M NOT TRYING TO PLAY A MOD ROLE NOTIHNG NEAR IT. I'm not doing anything with rules at all but trying to help with social problems going on right now. I woulden't say much of it would even be on forums but just over IM. This is why I said un-official please stop your not making sense I keep telling I'm not doing anytihng with moderation. I don't plan to get appointed into some sort of mod group like sig staff. Just simply doing this for myself and others. Not trying to be the mods pet here. I'd say over half the mods here I'm on bad terms with which is almost impossible to change. Please do not say I'm trying to be a mod I'm far from it as everyone knows. I don't know my exact plan to help thats why I'm getting a group to help.
krypton_ls - November 1, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
Ok now - I think this point about you not taking a mod's job is over.
And I will assume that you want people to take other comments to your chat topic which is now up - so please chat there now folks. ;)
Trane - November 12, 2006 10:43 PM (GMT)
Well looks like this isn't going to work. I'm really best of starting a project or joining a project. Where people are pre-occupied with other orgs at the moment. so uhh Lockinated?
