I found this while google imaging some of Ashley Wood's art, It may be just a concept but I think this is Art for the DGN2, it's "Mr.X" from MGS2.

DGN2 would be pretty awesome. I spent hours with the first one.

However, have you considered that this may be from her actual comic?

It's most likely an image from the comics. In DGN, the images weren't that colourful, so I doubt Ashley would change the style she draws in.

I know it could be from the comic, I'm just saying that this may be what it will start to look like in the actual DGN.

Hmmm never heard of Ashley Wood before, cheers guys. His work looks amazing, gonna Google him :P

Ashley Wood drew all of the MGS Comics that used to be around for MGS and SoL. Ashley also drew all of the pictures for MGS Digital Graphic Novel. Great drawer, and will probably design MGS DGN2.

Ok lets clarıfy. Ashley wood ıs a man, hes drawn the mgs graphıc novel both mgs1 and SOL. He laso dıd the dıgıtal graphıc novel and the mpo CUTSCENES. aND SOME OTHER COMıcs, but ı cant remember whıch ones.....

Yep, he's right just looked on Wikipedia and it states that Ashley Wood is a guy.

ashley wood is such a great artist. go to ashleywoodartist.com to link to his blog. much beter than shinkawa lol. he can convey emotion, action and speed, and his style can vary to fit any project. In an article in PSM magazine Shinkawa even said of Wood and i quote, "this guy is good."



as for that picture, that is indeed DGN2 art, but it was a cover to one of the issues of the Sons Of Liberty comic.

as for previous work he has worked on Hellspawn for Image comics, and he has very rare limited edition art books uno fanta, dos fanta, tres fanta, Grande Fanta and Grande Finale. they are exceptional art books but sadly are so rare that finiding one will cost you a pretty penny.

Yep, that's the cover art on issue 4 if I'm not terribly mistaken. Regardless, I'm a fan of his art style and it is my oppinion that his work has greatly improved as he progressed with the series. His art in MGS2:OCB clearly outdoes the presentation in MGS:OCB. Also, like one of the interview conducted on Metal Gear Solid: The Unofficial Site with Ashley Wood, plans for MGS3:OCB are in the talks as are a MGS2:DGN for the PSP.
