-Solid Snake- - December 31, 2006 05:59 PM (GMT)
Some one told me that u can play gamecube games on the Wii if this is true i would get it and play it on da Wii wat u think

Muikuli - December 31, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
Yeah, if I remember right, you can play every single Gamecube game on Wii. You can use GC controller for Wii for this to work.

Fierce Deity - December 31, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
I played this game on the Wii not long ago, Feels the same as playing it on the Gamecube.

And yes its backwards compatable with every gamecube game.

black king - January 1, 2007 12:23 AM (GMT)
just like the PS1-PS2 thing. what about the xbox-360? are they compatable?

micster - January 1, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
The wii will act 100% like a gamecube in gameplay so it has a 100% backwards compatability

Fierce Deity - January 1, 2007 12:30 AM (GMT)
Some of them are, Some of them arn't, Theres a huge list on the Xbox site.

-Solid Snake- - January 1, 2007 06:05 AM (GMT)
ok now that i no that they r compatible do u guys now if u can play TTS with the new controller, no not the motion one but the the one that has two analogs that looks like a PS2 controller cuz i originally play the playstation 2 just wondering

LarryTermite - January 1, 2007 07:06 AM (GMT)

Exactly - might as well just stick to what you know works and what you would have been used to, back then. ^_^

-Solid Snake- - January 3, 2007 04:06 PM (GMT)
I think the new classic controller will work because what other nintendo system needs two anolog sticks other than the GC.

nope the xbox360 can only play about a 3rd of xbox games and to fun them you need to buy a hard drive first.

i dont think it works wiht the gamecube games as it was made only to play the N64 roms.

-Solid Snake- - January 4, 2007 08:25 PM (GMT)
yea but y would they make a controller with TWO anologs?

the only reason is to play GC because no other nintendo has TWO anlogs other than GC am i right?

micster - January 4, 2007 08:45 PM (GMT)
The classic controller is for Virtual Console [Old Skool Downloadable Games] ONLY

Your wrong.
Nintendo 64 has 2 analogues.

Fierce Deity - January 4, 2007 08:52 PM (GMT)
N64 Controller = Playable on an N64.
Gamecube Controller = Playable on the gamecube and Wii.
Wii Classic's Controller = Playable on Retro games you download for the Wii.

Whats not the understand?

KiLLERASiAN - January 5, 2007 10:43 PM (GMT)

No Nintendo made a big fuss about how every gamecube is backwards compatable.

@-Solid Snake-: Stop asking that question. Its got two analog sticks because thats what the N64 controller had, And they are used on the N64 games you download for it.

KiLLERASiAN - January 6, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Yea i know what the classic controller looks like... and its because its used to play classic games from Nintendo and the two analogs are used for N64 games....

The Wii console is backward compatible with all Nintendo GameCube software and most GameCube peripherals. This backwards compatibility is achieved with the help of the slot-loading drive being able to accept GameCube discs, and a set of four GameCube controller ports and two Memory Card slots, concealed by flip-open panels. A GameCube controller is required to play GameCube games, as neither the Wii Remote nor the Classic Controller functions in this capacity. A GameCube memory card is also necessary if you want to save, as the Wii internal flash memory will not save GameCube games. Nintendo has stated that the console is not compatible with the GameCube modem adapter, broadband adapter, Game Boy Player, AV cable, or AC adaptor.

All Gamecube games, From Nintendo.

KiLLERASiAN - January 6, 2007 12:14 AM (GMT)
Then i guess the news has been updated... seems you proved me wrong.

Fierce Deity - January 6, 2007 12:16 AM (GMT)
No worrys, Its just a have a large Gamecube collection and they all work just fine on it. Part from my Gameboy adaptor on Wind Waker.

mopman - January 15, 2007 03:33 AM (GMT)
I agree, it doesnt make any sense to have to analogs but im not sure. Unless you have tried playing on twin snakes with classic dont be so sure though. I have a feeling no one who has given an answer has actually tried it
