Okay, so I went to Best Buy with a gift card, my own money and plans to either buy any video game that caught my eye or the movie Office Space.
Looking through the PS2 section, I couldn't find anything I specifically wanted like Tomb Raider Lengend, but I did find Shadow of the Colossus and God of War, both of which I thought would be very good. I continued the search and there it was: Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. After seeing the preview of the next-gen game some time ago I looked into the current-gen (or what was "current" back then) BIA games and this one looked good to me.
Something made me cautious with buying God of War or Shadow of the Colossus, but I wanted Brothers in Arms so I bought it expecting positive results.

BOY was I WRONG
I was pissed off in within the first two levels, the tutorial was okay, but the first real mission was pure suckage. I tried the third mission (with my full two squads) hoping it would be improved, however having two squads only gave me more dumbasses to watch out for.
My team is unresponsive at times, doesn't follow my commands correctly, and will run straight into an alley covered by the enemy with a machine gun when I tell them to stack up on the side of a building. Ultimately, they have the intelligence of a five-year-old (and even those probably know better than to get shot) and are bullet magnets.
The aim of my gun is amazingly inaccurate. Looking down the sight does nothing to improve my aim, as at times even shooting at point blank ends with zero hits.
The overall feel of the game is "boredom" and "frustration". The time between battles is snoreville and when we get into a fight we're pretty much fucked.

it was a waste of my money and gift card and has made me slightly less respective of Ubisoft (although every other game I've played by them rocked).
I still look forward to BIA: Hells Highway (only God knows why) however will be much more cautious if I decide to buy it when it comes out.

Haha - I played the demo on PC when it was out and it was crap imho.

I prefer games like CoD, and although realistically a one-man army would nt win the war - who cares? Games like BiA are really annoying with all the squad controls, and I've played things like Ghost Recon AF and somehow it works alright in that.

BiA = no no from me! ^_^

yeah, some games do it right, but there are too many flaws in the current BiA games.
However I took a long breather from the game, thought about it more, and tried it again, and I guess I just have to be extra patient with it...although on my second try just now I quit in anger yet again

Listen Pals, don't get this game either get COD 2 , FEAR or Battlefield 2142. :D

i still stand by what I created this topic for, but I've been playing it for the sake of getting something out of my money, and it's okay
but yeah, those are all better FPS games

Brothers in Arms EIB is not nearly as good as the first one, Road to Hill 30. It lacks the excitement and thrill the first one had. I don't know why they decided to make a game following Red's story anyways. I'm sure BIA: Hell's Highway (360 or PS3) and BIA: D-Day for PSP will be much better.

I played the first BiA and it sucked! You should have gotten Office Space, it's a much better value. Watching it gives you more entertainment then BiA could give you for the rest of your life!
