This is a fan fic me and BigK have recently started to write. After coming up with a name, we have decided to post chapter 1. So, here it is!
Metal Gear Solid: Birth Of The Patriots
Chapter One
The story begins in a massive loading dock, with Secretary of Defense Lyle Holmen prancing back and forward in the main office on the second story, when suddenly, a chinese man in his 30’s wearing a black trench coat, a light black turtle neck, tuxedo pants, leather gloves and shades enters the office looking rather pleased.
Sang: The turbines have been planted, and have passed the test runs. Everything’s running on schedule, just as we planned.
But Holmen remains silent, rubbing his sweaty hands more and more nerviously.
Sang: Yet, you seem troubled...
Holmen:....I....I want it stopped.....
Sang: Excuse me?
Holmen: I-I simply cannot do this anymore. The secret tests, the laundering of my country’s tax money, it’s...it’s all too much.
Sang: Lyle, again with this? I thought we finally met eye to eye on the creation of this work of art.
Holmen: I’m sorry, but I know how deadly this thing really is...and if it were to fall in the wrong hands...I’d never be able to live with myself.
Sang: Mr. Holmen, I can assure you, that this prototype will NEVER fall into the wrong hands, and-
Holmen: Take your assurance and shove it up your ass, alright?! If president Nixon were to EVER find out about our project, he’d have us both executed before the state!
Sang: If we’ve kept the project hidden as long as he have, what makes you think he’ll discover it now? And besides, do you know how much good this project can do for your country? You’re the Secretary of Defense, with a weapon like this on your side, your country will become as safe as it could ever be. And with this weapon mass produced, in the United States and in China, together, our countries could bring the Cold War to an end, and send the Soviet Union on their knees just begging for mercy. And if the president found out, he’d simply praise you. Like a king...like a God.
Holmen: Sang, this weapon is simply immoral...you saw how much damage it did in Colonel Volgin’s hands nine years ago. You knew what he was planning. And with a weapon like he had, he could have succeeded.
Sang: Oh, so NOW you have “Morals?” Where were your morals when I paid you 9.6 billion dollars to keep your mouth shut? Where were your morals when you okayed the production of this project? Where were your morals when you were laundering money and supplies to build the project? Where were your so called, “Morals” then, Mr. Holmen?
Holmen: *Sigh* I....I don’t know, I was so focused on bringing the Cold War to an end, that I...I never really took the time to see how many people I’d be hurting to do so...
Sang: There you go. There not morals, you’re just afraid. You fear what we can do with this project, you’re simply afraid of power!
Holmen: It’s a risk in national security!!! I’m the Goddamn Secretary of Defense!! If I allow this monstrosity to be created, I’ll put my entire country at risk!! I’ve made far too many mistakes, Sang, and I’ve taken far too many risks...but I WILL NOT gamble the safety of my country. I simply will not. It’s time I start acting like the Secretary of Defense, and actually keep my country safe. This thing will not be created, and our affairs in the entire project will be scrapped. No one will ever know any of us were involved. No one needs to know of the threat we could have brought onto the human race. Not now, not ever...
Sang: Wow....that was truly inspiring sir. It really was....*sigh* it’s just such a shame you aren’t going to be around long enough to make such changes.
Holmen: Wha...?
Holmen begins to step back cautiously when suddenly Sang pulls out a silenced handgun from his coat and aims it directly at Secretary of Defense, Lyle Holmen.
Holmen: What the hell do you think you’re doing?!!
Sang: Sorry, Mr. Holmen, but I’ve worked far too hard on this project to let you scrap it now.
Holmen: Sang, don’t d-
Sang then fires a single bullet right in Holmen’s forehead, killing him instantly as he falls to the ground with Sang standing above his body.
Sang: “Morals”....is anything your country does really “moral?”
Sang then smirks, and exits the office as he orders his men to wrap up loading up their equipment.

Chapter Two: Briefing
The scene begins as Major Zero makes contact with Big Boss. Zero, now stationed in Foxhound’s main headquarters, enters Big Boss’ frequency, and waits for it to dial as he stares back as Para-Medic and Sigint, somewhat distrought.
Big Boss: Major?
Zero: Snake...I mean, Big Boss, you said you wanted me to contact you when our tests were finished, right?
Big Boss: Yeah...what were the results?
Zero: A bit unbalanced...both good and bad to say the least...uh, here, I’ll let Para-Medic explain.
Para-Medic: The young man’s reflexes are indeed beginning to tone down, he’s becoming as regular as he can be. His psychological being seems to be far more stable then it was when you brought him in two years ago. But your friend’s body is still far too damaged to be able to regenerate a balanced temperature, so unfortunately that means...
Big Boss: That Python will forever need his suit...
Para-Medic: And the needles in his head for the current of liquid nitrogen to run properly.
Big Boss:.....
Para-Medic: I’m sorry, Boss...
Big Boss: It’s okay, Para-Medic, you did all you could...Python can just remain in my squad for now before we can figure something out, and at least Frank will never have to go back to being Null ever again.
Sigint: You know, Boss, if you don’t mind me interrupting, I think I figured out what might have been a key in his disturbed personality. That coffin he was always being stored in, odds are, had some serious psychological damage done on him.
Big Boss: But he told me he had his memory erased after every mission. How would he remember...?
Sigint: The cerebral cortex can’t just be wiped clean, Boss. There had to have been some traces of memory left after they wiped his mind clean, how else could he have recognized you after you beat him two years ago?
Big Boss: Good point, have it looked into.
Sigint: I’ll let Para-Medic know immediately.
Big Boss: Thanks, and how are things at ARPA?
Sigint: Success as usual. I mean, you DO know that I’m pretty much running the show at ARPA now, right?
Big Boss: *Sighs sarcastically.* Well, THAT must be good for employee morale, right?
Sigint: And what’s THAT supposed to mean?
Big Boss: Oh forget-
Sigint: Man, I’m running ARPA and helping your ass in Foxhound. You can’t tell me that’s some hardcore multi-tasking there, eh?
Big Boss:......Anyway, just please have that memory thing checked into, okay?
Sigint: You got it, man.
Suddenly, Big Boss receives a second call from frequency 140.85.
Big Boss: Roy?
Campbell: Hey, Boss, long time no see.
Big Boss: Where are you?
Campbell: Right next to the President of the United States.
Big Boss: What?
Campbell: He heard about my reputation with Foxhound, when he heard how much experience I had working with you, he was simply dying to meet me.
Big Boss: Why?
Campbell: What? You didn’t hear?
Big Boss: Hear what?
Campbell: Damn, you REALLY need to start reading newspapers, Boss.
Big Boss: Campbell, just tell me what the hell’s going on.
Campbell: The Secretary of Defense was shot yesterday in a nearby loading dock. We found his body in the main office, and the entire place was just stripped. No documents lying around, no files, no evidence, no video surveillance, natta. President Nixon says that there isn’t any way to track the killer.
Big Boss: And?
Campbell: And he wants Foxhound to investigate.
Big Boss: Why?
Campbell: Why else? Come on, Boss, this will be perfect for showing how Foxhound operates.
Big Boss: This is a simple murder case, what are police for?
Campbell: No, this isn’t a simple murder, Boss, this was the Secretary of Defense. Lyle Holmen isn’t a man you could just find on the streets and shoot. He was definitely meeting someone at those docks, and it’s our mission to find out who.
Big Boss: You have a point.
Campbell: Yeah, well, what else is new?
Big Boss: Oh yeah, yeah. Head down to HQ, and we’ll discuss the plans.
Campbell: Roger.
As Campbell gets off the line, Big Boss once again enters a small chamber and looks into three small genetic chambers with a small smile on his face soon fading. He then turns to the doctors.
Big Boss: When will they be able to leave these chambers?
Doctor: It won’t be for a very long time, sir.
Big Boss: But it’s already been a year!
Doctor: Listen, I understand where you’re coming from, but this is a VERY difficult proceedure, sir. We had to genetically transplant the cells of your sperm into these three babies. The genes and DNA of God knows how many of your potential children have gone into these three.
Big Boss: Is that why you call it “The Terrible Children?”
Doctor: In a sense, but waiting here with us does nothing. So you should probably head back to your base, sir.
Big Boss: Fine, but if anything changes, notify me immediately.
Doctor: Yes sir.
Big Boss then exits as the doctor heads back to the holding facility where the three babies are being held, and stares at the three chambers with a sinister smirk on his face.
????: This test will work, will it not?
Doctor: Yes sir...you were right to not trust him. Just in case Big Boss ever does decide to betray us, we’ll have...hehehe, “replacements.” Heehee, who said legendary soldiers are one of a kind now a days?
????: It doesn’t matter, Clark. Just as long as this “Super Baby Method” worked, it doesn’t matter to me.
Doctor: Yes, I know, just as long as it stays between us and the pentagon, we’ll be okay.
????: Indeed, no need to bring President Nixon into the equation.
More coming soon. :D

And after a very long period of hiatus, we're back folks, sorry for taking so long SSTG, but you know how work is lately, lol.
Chapter Three: The Black Vipers
After getting a look at his three children, Big Boss headed to the helipad of Foxhound’s base meeting Major Zero, Sigint, Paramedic and Campbell. Zero was wearing dark blue pants, a black buttoned shirt with a black tie and a tanish coat, blowing his glove covered hands in the freezing cold. Sigint was in the same gear he was wearing during the Fox revolt crisis a year ago, only he was wearing grappling gloves, a bullet proof vest, and a black short sleeved tanktop underneath. He merely smiled at Big Boss as he turned the helicopter’s propellors on.
Big Boss then patted Zero on his shoulder and told him to stay inside of the base with Paramedic while he, Sigint, Campbell, Python and several other Foxhound grunts awaited Big Boss’ orders.
Big Boss: Alright everyone, our mission is simple, we are to investigate the warehouse where Secretary Holmen’s body was discovered. We have no suspects in this incident, although we do have reason to believe that the reason Secretary Holman was involved in certain illegal activities in the area. Under his adminstration over 15 billion dollars have turned up missing and were illegidly reported to be spent on our military budget. Obviously those reports were false.
Campbell: But Snake, why are they sending Foxhound to the area if we’re just investigating the place? Isn’t that the pentagon’s job?
Big Boss: Yes....and we’re a divison in the Pentagon now, so there’s your reason.
Campbell: Fair enough.
Foxhound soldier#1: Sir, are we to expect any hostiles in the area?
Big Boss: It’s possible, keep your safety off just in case.
The unit then headed towards the direction of a highly fortified warehouse. No armed sentries in the area, but the sensation of being alone was nowhere to be found. Big Boss had his units investigate inside the main building while he had Sigint and Campbell investigate the west and east wings of the warehouse. Meanwhile Big Boss and Python searched outside of the parimeter. The entire time the two were searching however, Big Boss had noticed that Python was eerily silent, almost as if he were broken.
Big Boss: Python, are you okay?
Python: Snake...did the doctor tell you the news?
Big Boss: Yes, I know how rough it’s gotta be on you to have to be stuck this way, but-
Python: No, not that...your children Snake.
Big Boss: My kids? What about them?
Python: You are aware of why the government is so eager to help you have kids aren’t you?
Big Boss: What do you mean? Because I put a stop to the Fox revolt.
Python: Snake, no matter how old you get, you still act about as naive as the next recruit don’t ya? You don’t get it...they only used the Les Enfente Terribe project to help you have kids because they want backup soldiers in case you ever betray them.
Big Boss: What?
Python: They aren’t really your sons, Snake...they’re your clo-
But just before Python could finish, Sigint came in yelling for Big Boss. Big Boss and Python then immediately headed to Sigint now curious as to what he had discovered.
Big Boss: Sigint, what is it?
Sigint: Look at this.
Big Boss: A train track? What the hell is this doing all the way out here? There weren’t any train depos near here.
Sigint: I had Donnie investigate the geographical data of this place. This train track leads to a joint Chinese American miltary base. It’s roughly sixteen miles from here.
Big Boss: What the hell do they need a train for if it’s just sixteen miles away?
Campbell: Yeah, and if it’s just supplies, you can use munitions trucks right?
Big Boss: I wonder what they’d need their own private train tracks for?
Sigint: It COULD be the base needs immediate transportation of supplies and weapons.
Big Boss: No, if that were the case, then Munitions trucks would be the easiest way.
Suddenly, Python began to reflect on the warehouse storage facility where he fought Snake, and suddenly, it all came into place for him.
Python: Snake...do you remember the nuclear storage facility you faced me at?
Big Boss: What? Yeah, why?
Python: Fox used private train tracks to transport our warheads. Do you think that-
Big Boss: That Secretary Holmen was involved in purchasing nuclear warheads and that he was using these tracks to transport them? That thought hadn’t crossed my mind until just now.
Python: Snake...that means that if Holmen had been buying and selling nuclear warheads to that base, then they’d need a weapon capable of firing them.
Big Boss: There aren’t any silos in the area though.
Sigint: It’s possible that this track goes beyond that military base. Who knows where it leads. Odds are, there’s a silo in the area.
Big Boss: Well, we’d better find that silo.
However, while Big Boss and the others were pondering over that however, Python was still concerned that it wasn’t a silo that the soldiers were using. They all then began to board the helicopter, unaware that someone was indeed watching them. Sigint, Big Boss and Campbell stayed outside discussing the possible whereabouts of the silo while a single Foxhound soldier continued to investigate the inner warehouse. Big Boss then contacted him through codec, and ordered him to head outside, but along the way outside, the soldier found a single document labeled Black Op lying on the floor. The soldier, now aroused by curiousity then picked up the documents and began reading them.
Foxhound Soldier #1: Oh my God, what is all of this?! Five nuclear warheads transport to joint military bases within region?! Codename Boa?!! Sweet Jesus....THAT’S why they have a train track!!
The soldier then immediately dialed for Big Boss’ codec number, but lost his signal. So he then ran straight outside of the warehouse and ran for Big Boss. What he, nor anyone else had realized was that they were being watched all around the warehouse. What was worse was that the man watching the young soldier wasn’t watching through binoculars. More along the lines of a sniper scope.
Foxhound Soldier #1: Sir!! Look at this!!! You gotta see-
And just before he could get Big Boss’ attention, a single shot was fired, sending a bullet clear through the Foxhound soldiers’ throat as he fell to his knees with blood squriting out of his neck. Big Boss and everyone else had then readied their guns for battle, when a heavily armored soldier approached from the hills above the warehouse near the base, armed with an RPG fired a single missile into the Foxhound chopper, blowing the helicopter to pieces, incinerating all the Foxhound soldiers within the helicopter, knocking the majority of remaining Foxhound soldiers down to the floor while Campbell and Sigint tried to help them to their feet. And within a matter of seconds, the warehouse had turned into a war zone. Dozens of military jeeps came swarming into the field, dropping off 6 soldiers per truck, while Big Boss had grabbed his assault rifle, and fired it right into the windshields of oncoming trucks, killing their drivers and forcing them all to crash.
What Big Boss was unaware of was that dozens of more soldiers were right behind him, ready to turn him into swiss cheese, but just as he saw the soldiers behind him, Python fired a single Ice Frag from his assault rifle, freezing their weapons while he and Big Boss fired their rifles at the soldiers behind them, killing each one, and allowing them to make a run for the warehouse along with five remaining Foxhound soldiers, Sigint and Campbell. But as they ran for the entrance of the warehouse, the armored soldier with the RPG fired a second time straight into the warehouse entrance, blowing the front section of the warehouse to pieces.
The soldiers then ran straight for Big Boss and his men but Python ran in front of the crossfire, freezing the bullets coming from both sides, as he fired a second Ice Frag, freezing the soldiers weapons and most of their hands while Big Boss tossed a single M67 grenade at the enemy soldiers, blowing them clear out of the way while Big Boss and his men ran to the trail, what they weren’t aware of was that Campbell was wonded along the way, and that they had run off without him. Of course, the soldiers had their focus towards Big Boss, not Campbell, so they left him alone and ran straight after Big Boss, Sigint, Python and the remaining Foxhound soldiers. But while they ran after Foxhound, the soldier wearing the thick body armor walked down the hill and picked up the documents from the dead Foxhound soldier and began to chuckle.
Armored Soldier: Hahaha, how silly of me to have left this lying around.
The armored soldier then entered a single truck and drove after the Foxhound soldiers. Meanwhile, Big Boss and his men continued to run towards the military base. However, along the way, the Foxhound soldiers were then ambushed by more of the soldiers from the base, among those soldiers was the sniper from the warehouse, who was ready to pick off each and every soldier in the Foxhound unit.
They continued to shoot at the enemy soldiers, when suddenly the loud sound of a sniper rifle beinh fired from the distance boomed the night as more and more Foxhound soldiers were sent to their death, leaving only two more Foxhound units, Big Boss, Sigint and Python. But through the mists of it all, Big Boss had started to see the bodies of his men all around him, as he realized that there was no way he could defeat the enemies. So he then ordered his men to through down their arms.
Sigint: Yo Snake!! What you doin man?!
Big Boss: What any commander is supposed to do when the heat grows too strong, surrendering before any more of my men can get hurt.
Python: Snake no!!! Don’t give up!!
Big Boss: Python, you’re safe, but me, Sigint, and the others can’t hold up forever.
Python: Snake, what’s happened to you? Giving up this easily when we can still hold up...
Big Boss: I’m not on my own anymore Python. I have to look out for the wellfare of my men as well.
Big Boss then threw down his weapons while Sigint, the Foxhound soldiers and Python did the same. They then got down on their knees with all their hands up while the enemy soldiers surrounded the Foxhound soldiers aiming their rifles straight at them ordering them to get down on the floor. But while Big Boss and his men got down on the floor, a truck had driven back to their position, and out came the armored soldier removing his helmet, revealing a sinister smirk across his face as he walked towards Big Boss getting down on one knee, looking Big Boss right in the eye.
Sang: Well, you certainly gave us a run for our money didn’t you? I’d have expected no less from the legend himself, wouldn’t you agree, “Big Boss?”
Big Boss: Wha-who are you and how do you know my name?
Sang: My name is Sang Takashi, the commander of the military unit known as the “Black Vipers.”
Big Boss: The base close to the train track?
Sang: Is that you think this is? Hahaha! Well, I’m afraid this track isn’t exactly for trains, but that doesn’t matter.
Big Boss: What?
Sang: Take them to the holding cells. I’ll have Rattlesnake inform the commander that “Big Boss” has been disarmed.
Black Viper op: Yes sir.
The soldiers then took Big Boss and his men to the base’s holding cells while Sang got on his radio and contacted his commander.
Meanwhile at the White House, Vice President Preston Jance’s secretary had entered Jance’s office while he was working on President Nixon’s next speech on the war against the Russians and had informed him that there was someone on his line who wished to speak to him.
Jance: This is Vice President Jance speaking, who is this?
Sang: I have Big Boss sir.
Jance: You do? Excellent, and he has no knowledge of our little project?
Sang: None. He and his men were merely investigating the warehouse for any evidence of Secretary Holmen’s murder. Although one of Big Boss’ men had discovered one of our documents on “Boa.” Fortunately I had Archer scoping the area for any soldiers within the warehouse just in case that had happened.
Jance: So you have the documents now?
Sang: Yes. And don’t worry, Boa has been moved to our supply depo to the north. Don’t wory, but since Secretary Holmen is out of the picture, we’ll have to find a new distributor of the warheads.
Jance: What?
Sang: We need to find someone else to supply us with the nuclear warheads Boa needs to operate properly.
Jance: How many do we have?
Sang: Two. We still need three more.
Jance: Don’t worry, the Philosophers’ right hand man said he was willing to help us out now that Big Boss is out of the picture. But it’ll take a while longer to get this settled. Just get rid of Big Boss and his men.
Sang: Don’t worry, even if he does escape our base, which he WON’T, our inside man from the Philosophers is helping me pin the blame on Big Boss. With everything he’s given me, we have more then enough evidence to have Big Boss executed before the state for treason. Just relax...when all of this is said and done, the Philosophers WILL be reborn, and nothing, I mean NOTHING will stop us.
