I just got MAFIA for XBOX over the weekend, and I must say that it is quite impressive.
If you are one of those people that buys a game not only for the gameplay, but quite often times for the story, then you must buy MAFIA. It is realistically challenging and quite accurate. Such tedious effort has been placed in the construction of the city, Lost Heaven. I absolutely love it.

I was going to buy Mafia but im not sure what its like on the ps2.

Get it anyway. If you like a good story with your game, it'll be the best game you ever bought, with the exception of Metal Gear Solid.

I am going to buy it tomorrow along with Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes.

i rented it and found it really good i owned it for the PC but it wouldn't work but the PS2 version is still as interersting

I have Mafia and its amazing, its a proper Movie-game. So good though.

If i do go to get it, i wanna play it first but i dont wanna rent it.

wat do u prefer MAFIA OR VICE CITY well i would have to say it has got to be mafia becuase it is more realistic gta is just pure crap and mafia is just got the fear and story line

i would prefer GTA vice city because i only played on mafia over my friends house from a bit, so i dont really know what mafia is really about. i would prefer vice city any way.
vice city is a class games it will be remember for a long time, longer than mafia.

Plus Mafia is the only ever game where i have seen a video scene of Tommy having Sex. The only ever game i have seen someone having Sex.

There are many video scenes i like in Mafia, i like where Tommy smashes through the window and when Tommy was about to shoot the lady in the bath but he couldnt and there are lots more i like. Mafia is a very powerful game with emotion and tension with great music, it really involves you into the game. I suggest you buy it :)

I got Mafia for PC. And it is definately one of the best games ever created.
Its fantastic. Great story, great graphics, good gameplay, great characters.
