Title: JCC has finally made a 350x150 sig...
JCC - February 10, 2007 01:18 PM (GMT)
Dani, Bleedpink and all the rest of you who disapproved of the sizing of my sigs, get ready to rejoice (and today would be a good day to buy a lottery ticket) because JCC has made a 350 x 150 sig!
I was bored and felt like doing something different, so I followed an excellent tut
here from Pixel2Life (link is there for those who want to have a go at this sig).
I like it, it's different, it's not my best work and it's a little messy, but still, IT'S FREAKIN NORMAL SIZED!!!

Much better.
Nice filter effects, only downside is the text is slightly hard to see.

Psht, considering the tedious amount of steps it took for that tutorial to finish, the end result isn't half as good as it should be. Just looks like some guy has filter-whored some images to the point it looks half-acceptable.
I guess he pulled it off somewhat, though I'm not sure I like yours. The text is just wrong, that outer-glow thing doesn't work at all. The image in itself just looks distorted, whether that's down to the wrong choice of picture or how you did it, I don't know.
...I like the border.

It aint bad. But until I read BP post, I didnt even notice the text. I think its also maybe a bit too bright. :)

Looks good.
I still like the one you have on now though...

Looks quite good - but the image of Raiden has been stretched a little..... ^_^
Dani - February 11, 2007 04:44 PM (GMT)
Much better, but you've made one very big schoolboy error. Raiden is distorted.
When resizing images, press CTRL+T (if you don't already), and drag the handles. Be sure to hold SHIFT to maintain the correct ratio.
Other than that, yes you have used a tad too many filters. You could have varied the shadow/light intensity, and the text just doesn't mix in. Try varying the opacity for good results.
