Title: What should become of Metal Gear Thunder?
Description: Whet with the new info. re. Raiden...

It's old enough that sure you've all hear it by now.

It's been revealed that in MGS4, some unknown force has ben slowly eating away at Raiden's body. As a result, he's had to replace most of his original self with cybernetic and/or biomechanical parts. At this point the only truly original parts of his body left are his face, spine, and presumably his brain.
And thing is, up until recently I assumed -as probably did most of usl- that Raiden was just wearing a cybernetic/biomechanical exoskelleton like Olga and Solidus did.

Now, the thing is. That revelation pretty much invalidates EVERYTHING I've conveived of for my fanfic Metal Gear Thunder: The End of Eden.
What's more, this means odds are more likely than not Raiden will die by the end of MGS4, which would not only invalidate my current plotline, but the entire concept behind it.

I'm thinking that perhapds I shouldn't continue with the script, given this new information. But I'm still unsure of myself, and that decision.
One one hand I want to quit given that I've just violated MAJOR facets of established metal gear timeline. More minor violations wouldn't concern me, but this is something very big.
But on the other hand I want to continue knowing just how compelling this story is going to be.

I want your opinions.

Okay, let me give you some professional advice. Keep with what you've had planned with Raiden from the start, don't let MGS4's storyline get caught between your storyline. In MGS: Second Skin, Snake was still looking young. Older, but aging regularly. Results were the same, people liked what they read. You see, your fan fic is you telling the story, not Kojima, therefore, you can tell this story any way that you want. Now, you've said Raiden was wearing that octo suit, older, and gruffer, stick with that. Just because Raiden will most likely die at the end of MGS4 doesn't mean you have to make Raiden die. Because if you choose to let Raiden live, you can continue with sequals, make your story more original, etc. You get what I mean right? I'd recommend just stick your story. So the hell what if your story violates the timeline, in Second Skin, I chose to have Snake choose the path where Meryl died, and people still loved that story. I had Solid Snake use that tracker he put on Ocelot's RAY to kill him with. Hell, Raiden was still human, Liquid had his own body again. I didn't follow the current storyline one bit, and that turned out to be a damn good story if I say so myself, hell, see for yourself.

*Sorry if that sounds conceited, but it's merely to illustrate a point.*

You see, one thing you should understand is when you post a fan fic, you are doing your best to make your story as original as possible. If we all posted our stories to be like the actual MGS stories, guess how boring it would be to read the same thing over and over again? Your story is one of the best fan fics I've ever read, and to stop making it just because you think Raiden'll die at the end of MGS4 would be down right horrible man. So keep at it, your story is great, and you gotta keep it going, cutting us off when you're doing so well would be a damn sin.

It's fan fiction man, it's your take on the story. I read a Harry Potter one that's was done seventies disco style with Voldemort waltzing around in a platforms and a huge afro. You don't have to change your own story to fit the real one. That's why it's your story. Just keep going with it, you've put a lot of work into, don't throw it all away just because of a bit of new info that changes the canonical story.
