I have the PC version of MGS2:S and i know that in the PS2 version, the aim/fire button is pressure sensitive, i mean, if you release it slow enough, the character will lower the weapon without firing first. So, anyway, what i want to do is threaten an enemy, then go up in front, strip him of whatever items he might have, and then go round his back and choke him. I don't wanna shoot him because there are others in the room and i don't wanna make any noise. But the thing is, the only way i found so far to not fire, is to unequip the weapon, which, of course, marks big trouble, cause my "hostage" will draw his gun and shoot me. So how can i lower my weapon without firing, on the PC version of the game?
Why not just quick unequip it? i had same problem as you but then I found this really cool solution. Instead of slowly firing to release i simply unequiped and equiped the weapon again. Thinking of it again, it's probably even faster method than the one you wishto learn. :)

Yea, I used the same technique :P but there was one thing that always bothered me : I hold up the soldier and released the first person view button and hold the auto-aim butto on and ran in front of the soldier but when I ran with auto aim I couldn't run left (or right, I can't remember :P) :P
