The Ac!d series have no significance in the MGS series and are non-canon spin-offs just like Ghost Babel.

Whats that with the Koppelthorn guy. I think i heard about him already in one of the Snake Tales in Substance. Isn't that the guy who invented the VR System? Is this some kind of non-canon MG character? Does he always apear in those non-canon versions, because i think he was also in Ghost Babel! :o

is it worth buying? sure, if you are open minded about metal gear and wont flip out that its card based. the stories are wacky, snake doesnt act like the solid snake we know and love, but the game has a definite metal gear flair to it. id play mga1 before 2, because after 2 you wont want to go back, as 2 has a much more streamlined and fast gameplay, although the colors are neon bright and its like playing anime. im actually playing mga2 over again till mpo+ comes out.
the arena mode in mga2 also lets you play against badguys from mgs1 and 2 as well.
and the artwork is way better than shinkawas

It might... the philosophers real name is "The wise mans commitee" and in Acid (1 or 2 i don't remember) A character named Wiseman appears... So maybe the philosophers are really called The Wiseman's commitee... I'm not sure about it, might be a connection or just randomness...

the ac!d games are good, i like the gameplay because its very good for the psp. and a theory i have about it is the snake you play as in MGA is another clone from the les enfants terribles, even though it doesnt really matter because its officialy not part of MGS cannon. still good games though

I play alot of MGAc!d and can tell you that it has a very steep learning curve. It turns out to be pretty fun but the story does not fit in at all with MGS timeline. Acid 1 takes place in 2016 and we now know that MGS4 takes place in 2014. So relation just isnt possible, which is a good thing to me because the first game has an incredibly horrible storyline and 2 is only slightly better. You really have to think of it as an MGS card/board game (I hate card games like magic but this is more like a board game) with no story at all to enjoy it. A previous comment was right on earlier when they said that you wont go back to 1 after you play 2, I just suggest getting 2 though.

MGA grows on you though, the more you play and collect cards it gets as addictive as Pokemon  . It is fun on trip though since it's played with using your brains sompletly rather than timing.
