A fan of my animations on youtube blatantly copied my icon and used it for his, and from what he says it seems this isn't the first time it's happened. Except he's so dumb that he thinks that even after three times of people saying he stole icons he thinks he can get away with "I made it myself, I didn't steal it"

notice it isn't an EXACT copy, as the pose is slightly different and in mine the guy is jumping, but I think it's obvious everything else is stolen; the pose, the colors, the style of stickman, and my personal most hated steal: the gun is an complete rip-off of the gun I created and used which was like none other when it was created

anyway I'm pissed off and asked the guy to take it down and he says (in broken english) that this is the third time someone accused him of stealing and he refuses to take it down again. Oh yeah, and if you look at the comments I'm not the only one who noticed it's a steal.

edit okay, it seems he just took a picture of a different frame of my same animation and hoped he could get away with it.

Report it to YouTube, and they'll probably take the video down and ban him. If not, then just block up his video comments with spam.

I don't know why he'd have to steal your icon if he made this.

I remember someone took some of my drawings and labeled them as theirs. gr. I don't want to have to watermark my stuff. :/

Actually, it was me. :P I hate it when people steal other people's graphics, artwork and other shizzle and pass it off as their own.

YouTube isn't very good with service though.

I tried messaging them a few times about this guy who kept bugging me telling me to video myself putting my guitar strap on (wtf?) and make videos of specific songs and such, but YouTube kept sending me stupid automated messages that had nothing to do with what I was talking about.

Bleh.

if the email doesn't work, they tell me how to file a legal document to send to them :D

This may be a little offtopic, but this made me remember the worst rip-off ever.

This one guy had a lot of his music in a site called mixeri (and it was rather popular there). He found out that some idiot from Sweden had released many records, which included his songs! They weren't even re-recorded, they were just simply taken from mixeri, put on the album and claimed as own. Unbelievable how that idiot thought he could get away with that.

That's not all... The albums this Swedish guy had released, also included various other songs found from mixeri.

i think you are making this too big of a fuss. I don't like things getting stolen either, but this is the internet. People are bound to find things and use them for themselves. :)
