Okay so I am mainly envolved in theater at my High School. My dream is to be in The Phanom of the Opera musical. Well, I recently found out today that one of our schools biggest rivals is doing this damn show. They're a very rich school district (because it's a very rich community). I read on their website that they were chosen to "pilot" the show along with five other schools around the nation. That means they were selected by an official from the original production company to house amatuer productions. Based on how these turn out, they will decide if they want to make the script available on the market for amateur theaters to produce. This just pisses me off so much, because the only reason they were selected is because they are fucking rich. :angry:

No seriously that sucks, my drama instructor would have made sure that the other school's principle, vice-principle, drama instructor, and actors would never see the next light of day...

a similar thing happened to my school, some local schools were being chosen to host a sports tournement thing, im not really involved in my schools P.E. side so i dont know the details but some friends i have who are went ape-shit. whereas a the council was looking for a school to host a music event and my school was chosen and the GCSE music class (that im in) got to miss a day of lessons and help out. :party:

But on topic. The richer schools always get better opportunities, and stuff. Believe me experience. Poor school, and in drama.

I third it. She would eat the lot of them alive and then bury them somewhere.... no records will remain...

Anywho.. Yeah.. The richer schools get all the luck. But let us look at it this way... If they do good, then it will be on the market for other schools to do. So people do gain a bit of something that is if it goes well.
