This is a process I found effective when running sequals to scripts, discussing other characters for the sequal, now since this doesn't spoil the ending to Second Skin, I thought I'd share this for you guys, see what you all think:

Through the hell that is World War III, six soldiers from completely different regions of the world are brought together through the light of Heaven which smiles down upon them, granting them the ability to rise above the pety grievences war causes them and smite down their eneimes with vengeful hands....

Tragic Joy – The leader of Heaven’s Smile, as World War III had commenced, Joy remained in her village of Kojhimito, a village within the Japanese Mountains. Joy’s village had been caught in the crossfires of nuclear war and was devastated as an IMCB decimated the village and everyone in it. Joy had miraculously survived thanks to her lover aiding her to safety. However, her body was severely damaged by the warhead, so badly that her flesh had to be removed from her body due to radioactive contamination, and in its’ place, it was replaced with machinery. Her saviors had turned her into a walking war machine. As leader of Heaven’s Smile, Joy feels nothing, no pain, no sorrow, no hatred, just joy. The joy of combat, the joy of oblivion, the joy of victory. Nothing more, nothing less. Her team color is White.

Vengeful Oblivion – The second in command of Heaven’s Smile and lover to Tragic Joy. Oblivion was an American ground trooper stationed to maintain peace within certain regions of the world due to ensuing war. The peaceful village of Kojhimito was protected by Oblivion’s unit, as they remained stationed and aiding the villagers’ of Joy’s home, the two became very close, lovers even. But as their relationship grew stronger, Oblivion’s unit was deployed to another village, before suddenly Kojhimito was devastated by nuclear holocaust. Frantic, not concerned for his own well being, Oblivion trekked through the biohazardous village, made his way through the rubble and chaos, and had hoped to rescue Joy, but to his horrific shock, her body had been decimated. Still, he loved her and wanted to save her, so he carried her out of the village and to safety. But in doing so, his body had been exposed to large quantities of radiation, heat which dwells deep in Oblivion’s body always. To his surprise, Oblivion and Joy were rescued by The Patriots, and treated so that they would both live. Oblivion had been fitted with a Static Resistant Body Armor which enables him to control the radiation fused with his body and concentrate it to actual heat, giving him the ability to control fire from his own will. His codename stands for the vendetta he holds against those who caused Joy so much pain, and the oblivion they shall all face by his hands. His team color is Gold.

Silent Sorrow – A Syrian Rebel, also a victim to WWIII. Sorrow had led a group of Rebel forces to protect the remaining cities within the Middle East, though his efforts were all in vein. He watched as his family, friends and comrades died one by one at the hands of his enemies before he conceded. His remaining comrades abandoned Sorrow and left him to die. Sorrow, however, bottled his sorrow, his regret and hatred and unleashed it on his enemies, and with that, had killed all who stepped in his way. Sorrow then joined Heaven’s Smile and vowed to make his enemies know the same sorrow he feels every day for the loss of his loved ones. His team color is Grey.

Howling Fury – Fury was formerly an American ground troop commander. He led his unit with determination and trust in their abilities. During the first wave of attacks in the beginning of WWIII, Fury watched in horror as his entire unit was wiped out in a wave of gunfire, by Russian forces. He attempted to fight back but was gunned down along with his unit. The Russians had left him and his unit for dead and moved on. When Fury awakened, he had snapped at the sight of all of his men and more men dead all around him. This sight remains within Fury always….a sight which drove Fury to a psychotic state of insanity. His rage fuels him as he unleashes his Fury on all who step in his path. His team color is Green.

Blind Fear – Fear had enlisted with the Soviet Union’s special ops team in 1988 at the age of 16. They had trained him tremendously to be a true soldier until the fall of the Soviet Union in 91. After which he had enlisted with Spetsnaz special forces from age 19 to 43. A veteran Russian general, who led his ground troops into batter during WWIII. After dealing with several American Forces, Fear’s unit was attacked by a dirty bomb containing a highly reactive nerve agent, killing most but Fear, he suffered a deep state of permanent Insomnia and temporary Peralasys for a week. The peralasys affects had infected Fear’s eyes to the point where they had become jet black, and were practically useless to Fear, but while the virus fused with Fear’s nerves, his remaining senses were greatly enhanced. His almost divine sense of hearing, smell and feeling has given him the ability to determine where bullets will be fired before they are even fired, and where an enemy soldier stands, allowing him to fire with precise marksmanship, even through blindness. Fear is fearful of nothing, moves in a sinisterly slow fashion, but has python-like reaction time when it comes to dodging and shooting. His team color is Red.

Tormented Pain – Pain was formerly a field medic for Eastern Germany, a rather large man, roughly 6’7, with both medical and combat training. He tended to several wounded German forces during the first few waves of attacks of WWIII. During which point as he was tending to his forces, a shrapnel bomb was detonated within his camp grounds, killing most, and wounding some, but Pain was a different story. A large piece of Shrapnel pierced into the center of Pain’s heart, which normally would kill him almost immediately, but has been aligned perfectly to where his heart can still pump blood, but at his expense, he feels nothing but incredibly searing pain every moment of his life. However, instead of taking his own life, Pain vowed to inflict this very pain on those who inflicted it on him as he joined Heaven’s Smile. His team color is Orange.

As I said in the PM K, awesome work. I can see you haven't just thought of some cool bosses and plonked them together. You've thought long and hard about these bosses, given them some background and even got some drawings going on. I can sense that this unit will be hard nuts to crack, even though they aren't the main enemies in Eternal Warfare. I look forward to reading more about EW.

Very good work, Kun Lan ;)

Thank you Gon Tan. :thumb:

And thanks again folks, now all I gotta do is get back to work on Second Skin for now, I just needed to post this so I wouldn't forget anything regarding HS. *Not Holyspawn.*

Well, I actually have to disagree with the others here. I can't deny that the stories behind each of these characters are well done, but why are you being so derivative? Naming boss characters after former bosses would've been something I'd applaud if it weren't for the fact that Kojima had already done so. And KNOW that's where you got the idea.

Yes, that is where I got the idea from, thought I mentioned that, that's also where I got the team color idea, sort of a mixup with FOX and The Cobra Unit. Reason being because I wanted to try and make MGS: EW a finale climax like how MGS4 is the finale climaxe for MGS, this will be the end for my MGS Second Skin genre, so I want to give it somewhat of a similar feel to MGS4, which is why if you saw what Joy looked like, she shares similar traits to the Beauties. Like the Beauties, these six are victims of war, but in much different ways.

Each one represents a Cobra, as you said, and let me explain why:

Tragic Joy - The Boss, or The Joy. Similar because of the similar joy they each share from combat.

Vengeful Oblivion - The End. Nothing alike apart from codename, but whereas The End is searching for his last great hunt before his own oblivion, VO intends to wreak oblivion and chaos on his enemies out of vengeance.

Howling Fury - The Fury. An enraged madman, fueled by rage, and shows no mercy towards his enemies.

Now, given those three, I'll cut it short since I gotta head to class at 9:30, the reason I am keeping the Cobra Unit codename similarity to that of BATB is because their codenames, unlike the actual Cobras is what each one lives up to. Each one expresses each emotion and share it with their enemies. It also symbolizes each of their backstories, so it isn't like I just randomly give them the codenames. Now since this is an ALTERNATE version of where MGS goes after the Big Shell incident, thus anything that has already happened in MGS4 won't matter since this is my own sort of MGS4 if you will. Now needless to say I'm not going to be ripping off MGS4, but there are going to be similarities. Such as a wartorn era of eternal warfare, such as this being Solid Snake's final mission, and the involvement of the Patriots, and there will be many more similarities then just that, such as the constant battle....but the name should imply that already. I thought it would be interesting to revamp the codenames of former bosses and impliment them in these six, which is why I chose The Cobras, another reason being their connection with the Philosophers in MGS3, namely how it all started with The Boss, and how her father was one of the big players in The Philosophers, thus I felt they'd be a more able candidate for the codename revamp.

Do you get what I mean now?

I don't understand that reference. And neither does Google.

Personally, I didn't like your bosses/backstories, but you've done good work in the past, so I guess I'll wait and see how it turn out eh? :thumb:

Google? Boy what are you talkin? I figured Kamran, Kun lan, so God Told, Gon Tan. *I'm not good on that subject because I have no idea what you mean.*

But that's fair, we all don't gotta like the same things, I hope I can still change your mind when you see them in action. ;)

Haha ok, Kun Lan was a reference to Killer7, he's the mastermind behind the "Heaven Smiles", where I figured you got the name from.
Heh.

Well, I can't wait to see them in action, I'm sure it'll be awesome. :)

Bad news is I gotta rethink the name. Dammit I KNEW that sounded too familiar. I always thought those guys were Hell's Smile. Oh well, and I see what you mean with Kun Lan, I thought you were just using fancy word play with my name, anyway, I gotta work on a new name for these guys, I'll think of something. ^_^

i liked it. it seems like a piece that you took the time to sit down awhile a think very hard and plot eveything out, to create a great work. it's not just thrown together, like the way i've put a couple of my own works.
