I remember going out and buying this game immediately on the day of it's release. I was so excited to see what they had done to the original that I actually ended up buying a GameCube just to see what The Twin Snakes was like. I noticed pretty early on whilst playing it that all of the main characters' dialogue had been rerecorded, which was quite observant of me I thought. I know the original inside out and had completed it probably over ten times before purchasing The Twin Snakes, so I knew exactly what to expect.
One thing I did like was the way they had extended certain cutscenes. I thought the stuff they added and improved was awesome, and definately got more people interested in the MGS saga. I haven't played any of the Metal Gear Solid games for a while now actually, but I was thinking of starting to play them again sometime soon. Shadow Moses was the base incident which made MGS players interested on where the series was gonna' go later on. And I feel too many people these days don't even know too much about the original MGS game, they only know Sons of Liberty or some just know Snake Eater which I think is so sad.
The first Metal Gear Solid was legendary and still is, it will remain a classic for the rest of time. I will always have nothing but love for MGS on PS1, and if it weren't for me buying that game back in the late nineties, I would probably never have known anything about what the series was to develop into here in 2007.
