Since the Writers Section has been broken down into two sub forums and the original works section, I will brief you guys on what's up with the Poetry & Lyrics Section. Basically, if the title didn't already spoil anything for you, you post any original poetry or song lyrics you've created.

Now, onto the rules:

THE RULES

1. No Plagerism - This is for your original poetry and lyrics, YOUR original poetry and lyrics. Don't steal from somebody else. There's nothing worse then working hard on material JUST to have it stolen from right under you. If you are posting someone elses material PLEASE at least give credit to the original author. Failure to do so will result with a warning.

2. Flaming - It's a bit different with this section. Poetry and lyrics are two things people take very seriously, and quite frankly, if your material is horrific, expect that it would be thrashed, right? Right, but that's not how it will go down here anymore. If you do think someone's work is bad, do NOT simply tell them it sucks or that they can't write. Everyone here can write, some can't show it as well as others. If you think someone's writing is bad, offer advice on how they can improve, don't simply thrash them and move on, because that is unacceptable and if I catch any more of that, action will be taken.

3. Proper Section - Song lyrics and Poetry go here, if you accidentally post it in the fan fiction section or the original work section, no big deal. I will move it to the proper section and that will be that. But please do not make a habit of that.

4. Rapping contests and Poetry contests are allowed - Rap Threads are fun, as are poetry competitions, if you feel like throwing something down, feel free to do so, as long as you do not go over the edge in the process.

But most of all, my most important rule of them all....have fun! You have a chance to show MGSF just how creative you are, and there's nothing more creative then your poetry or your lyrics, so bring on some of that poetic justice folks. :thumb:
