My favourite sig yet.
God Told Me to Skin You Alive - October 24, 2007 11:55 AM (GMT)
I love it... but where's Frank?
:(
JCC - October 24, 2007 11:58 AM (GMT)
The whole thing is full of Frank quotes, man, I can't give you everything. :P
Puppy - October 24, 2007 05:33 PM (GMT)
That has win written all over it. Donnie Darko rules!
JCC - October 24, 2007 05:39 PM (GMT)
Actually, the text is "Wake up, Donnie", but I can see how you'd confused, there's a lot of W's and stuff.
...
Come on, you thought I'd just let that opportunity lie there?

Lookin pretttyy cool man - Only bad thing is how the font in the bottom left dont fit in with the whole style of the sig

I wanted a contrast between the two texts. In the film, Frank is very dreamlike in the way that he talks. He slowly eccentuates every syllable in every word, so I wanted that dreamy quality to clash with the harsh message behind it. Not sure whether it worked.

Love the film, looks cool, but I think theres a lot crammed in there, too much to focus on. Apart form that I like it, Jake G was a great actor in that film.

JCC: He doesn't let the formulaic joke opportunities slide.
Show your worship today!

I actually loved that movie. Nice sig J
Solid Snake8 - October 24, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
Very nice signature, man. That's a real good movie and probably the only movie that I think Jake G does a good job in.

Excellent movie, excellent sig.. I love it baby. <3
OcelotSnake - October 25, 2007 03:02 PM (GMT)
Great job and IMO your best work yet, a few critiques though:
-Maybe add some blur effects to the duplicated layers either side of Donnie to help centre the focus.
-Ditch the text on the bottom left hand corner. Detracts from the signature slightly.
Part from that it's a great abstract piece, nice work ^_^
JCC - October 25, 2007 03:07 PM (GMT)
I made a version without the text on the left for another guy who said he didn't like it, then accidentally clicked save so the one without the text on the left is the only one that I've got. :(

You prefer?

yes i do prefer that one,but there's way too much text,it's pretty dark, pretty damn hard to see teh render, the bg needs work, maybe make it different than just having 3 renders with a crap load of text,i'm not liking the border either, there's no flow and no depth too
JCC - October 26, 2007 11:10 AM (GMT)
The text overlay was the point, it's meant to be frantic and confusing, the same way that the film and Donnie's personality is.
It's dark because if you've ever seen the movie, it's a pretty dark film. Obviously, it's not like, Ed Gein dark, but it's dark.
The renders are a symbolism of schizophrenia, that's why they're at a lower opacity, and darker. They're meant to look, sort of... menacing.
And the sandwich border is what I always use. Sorry.
Sn4ke - October 26, 2007 11:44 AM (GMT)
Nice siggeh, great movie.
Shyne-Bryght - October 26, 2007 11:49 AM (GMT)
Second version looks a lot better, nice job, also, on the lower text in the corner, maybe a 1pixel black Stroke effect to make it more visible, unless its deliberate to emphasise the confusion and frantic factors.

sigs don't always have to be bright, renders visible, have flow or depth. U always have the same comment on every sig ... JCC has another style. Sigs don't have to look the same with different colors and renders ...
