Anyway, I hope y'all can shed some light on a certain subject. Namely, the tatoo on Liquid's left arm. Playing TTS through again over the weekend, I was sure to look very carefully at it, since I think I might be interested in getting one myself. ^_^;

In case it's not ringing any bells, the tatoo is of a cross with a snake wrapped around it. I've seen the symbol elsewhere before I'm sure, and I'd like to know what it's called. It's not an ouroboros, that's just a snake eating its tail. But surely there's a name for the cross-&-snake. I'd like to know what it is and what it means before I go permanently embroidering it on my boody. :D

I'm pretty sure it's a modified version of the Rod of Asclepius, the staff of the God of Healing. Pretty much a snake around a wooden staff, Liquid changed it to a sword.

Aha, swiggedy! Thank you for the insight. Now I'm even more intrigued as to why Liquid got it. The Rod of Asclepius, symbol of healing--replaced with a sword, symbol of death. Or, more accurately, war. Yes, it would make sense in light of Liquid's pseudo-Aryan ideals. Believing his "soldier" race was superior to that of most mankind, he sought to create that world wherein the soldier would be returned to his rightful place as the most vital of human beings. In essence, one could say his campaigns of war-mongering sought to heal soldiers by giving them the very thing that makes them whole. Fascinating conjecture. Now to decide if I want to have that thing on my arm for the next 40 years! :D

That sounds pretty awesome, Hel. Although, if I were you, I'd just get Liquid's tat – that would be so much better, in my honest opinion.

It would also be a bit weird for some to see you with tats from a video game – some assholes might get the wrong idea... in fact, it's almost a certainty. Regardless, it all sounds awesome.

That's awsome Blue, when im 18 the first thing im going to do is go get my lip peirced and then get a tattoo of a black cross on my right calf, then after that a bass cleff symbol on my right forearm, then will be the time for my MGS tatoo, im not sure what i want yet but maybe the exclamation point with the Foxhound logo as the dot underneath it, that would be kinda cool.

Something ive always wanted to do was get the triforce from zelda on my hand but would it but be a bit too.......nerdy? I don't know what do you guys think?

I'll be getting Liquid Snake tattooed on my other shoulder soon, and REX will be added inbetween later.

But the idea of having bot Solid and Liquid on my shoulder gives me the feeling of shoulder angels, one good, one evil :P

And ofcourse the Shadow Moses tattoo on my other arm.

It was done in 2,5 hours. And it's pretty detailed too. I insisted on not having a black edge around the red letters though, but I don't really mind that they are a bit unclean
