What is your guys' favorite Zombie movie?

Mine would probobly be Night Of The Living Dead(remake) it's the classic zombie movie.

Also what movie do you think has the best zombies? I think Sean Of The Dead has the best ive seen, the remake of Dawn Of The Dead was friggin awsome don't get me wrong but zombies aren't really suppose to run and be crazy.

My favorite zombie film has to be the same as yours, the 1990 Night of the Living Dead.
Holds a special place in my heart, seeing as it scared the shit out of me when I was in the 1st grade and I relived that same fear when I first touched Resident Evil...

And for the best zombies...hmm...

Day of the Dead had the jawless one, a remarkable make-up effect.
Land of the Dead had Blade zombie, and that was cool.
Zombi 2 had the disgusting decaying zombies, and the gore to boot.
But who can count out Return of the Living Dead's Tarman? Possibly the greatest zombie to ever hit the big screen.

Mine are Dawn of the Dead and 28 Weeks later.

28 isn't a zombie movie, the creatures are not zombies, zombie have to be dead, then reanimated, the Infected are merely humans driven insane by the Virus, you'll notice at how they don't eat their victims (which is why they starve to death by the second film)

Favourite zombie movie?

Probably the original Dawn of the Dead, a masterpiece of gore and suspense

Day of the Dead has the horde feeling (best expemplified when the Captain is dragged away)

Land of the Dead has that disgusting hand rip...

The Zombi movies are awesome and the three Resident Evil's are decent zombie movies (but in no way are they "Resident Evil" movies)

The remake of Dawn is pretty good, but I think the over exaggeration of the characters runied it, particularly with Steve and the teenage kid.

The Day remake is looking pretty good as well.

edit: they remade Night of the Living Dead again, and Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding) is in it. I haven't seen it, though, so I don't know how good it is.

I think the original DAWN of the DEAD is my favorite zombie flick.
it's fucking AWESOME, and it pretty much paved the way for zombie films.
DAY of the DEAD is awesome as well (today was day of the dead, the Mexican holiday, by the way).
George Romero directed those 2, and he definitely knows what he's doing.

I agree that the creatures in 28 weeks later aren't zombies.
they're just infected, rather than re-animated.

28 DAYS LATER rocked. like, seriously, it restored my faith in new horror.
but, 28 WEEKS LATER, on the other hand, blows. hard.

it's not even a horror flick. it's action. and lame action, at that.
all the effects are digital, which is something I have a problem with.
digital effects require no creativity.
and, it's not even directed by the same guy. so, I guess that's why it sucks so bad.

another film to check out: Robert Rodriguez's PLANET TERROR.
another rad zombie flick.

I love Zombies, the sheer thought of a Zombie makes my day better.

My favorites would have to be:
Shaun of the Dead
Night of the Living Dead
Dawn of the Dead
and Day of the Dead

as well as a few other here and there. I really want to see Zombi (or Zombi 2 as it is sometimes called) and that is my current financial venture.

Original Night of the Living Dead. Nuff said.

Fuck, I forgot Shawn of the Dead. Thats also a great film.

codemaster57 - November 2, 2007 01:12 PM (GMT)
Easily shawn of the dead and the 28 days later series...

*Walks off to go play DeadRising*

Ive got an idea. Why dont they Make Resident Evil Outbreak as a film. The cop can be Tom Cruise. The Other cop can be the guy who was a cop from Dawn of the Dead (remake) and the rest they can figure out. It can start in that bar, then they can go to the zoo, the police departement, subway station and finally the university. That could be an awesome film.

i don't really consider 28 Days Later a zombie movie.

Zombies can't run.
You have to die first and the ones in the movie don't.
You have to have been bittin.

Shawn Of the Dead on the other hand was a great zombie movie, it had the perfect zombie.

Metalmalitia23 - November 5, 2007 06:27 PM (GMT)
Yeah it was more of a comedy but I think it still is a good zombie movie nontheless.

Because Tom Cruise sucks

and because CAPCOM for some reason don't want any RE films that resemble the games.

I would classify the 28 movies as zombies, (even if they're not completely zombies) I loved bofe ovem

FearHeldDear - November 6, 2007 05:08 PM (GMT)
The 1990 Night of the Living Dead sucked ass. It's nothing in comparison to the original. All of the original Romero films were incredible, and no remake can ever live up to them.

Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (a.k.a. The Living Dead At The Manchester Morgue) is another good one, and for less traditional zombie movies, Braindead (a.k.a. Dead Alive) and Re-Animator are great.

Resident Evil is my fav Zombie movie. Wish they had Leon in e films though.
