iAn - November 9, 2007 09:50 AM (GMT)
I am...

Just check out the awesome Launch Trailer

Gonna get it the minute it comes out.

Liquidus_Snake - November 9, 2007 10:00 AM (GMT)
WAA WAA WII WAA!!! :o

probably my most wanted after mgs4 and gta4, damn every trailer i see makes me want it more!!

my only worry is, that they lose track a bit and all gets a bit silly, and i can imagine alot of annoying glitches in it like in oblivion

also, anyone got any ideas what the big mystery is there gona reveal in AC, ive heard alot about time travelling, but surely they cant fit that into this one game!, its big enough already with the map and the graphics and the AI :o ,

anyone else notice that blue writing and shapes that appear around people as they walk past altair aswell?, that is a bit perculur

I'm thinking something like the film Total Recall, where theres a bloke in the future having "adventure dreams"

But the game looks amazing and is certainly something fresh, nice to have something other than shooters being released.

Aquila - November 9, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
Definetly buying, without a doubt my most anticapated game this year, been waiting since the first trailer :P so I'm all hyped up for the release (16th in Europe)

Yackemflaber - November 9, 2007 07:00 PM (GMT)
well I just got CoD4 which is my favorite game of all time (at this moment haha) and I'm waiting for The Orange Box to come to PS3...

I was never really that interested in Assassins Creed from the start, I mean it sounds cool and I'd like to try it out, but I'll probably go for a rental first.

Ocelot11 - November 9, 2007 08:01 PM (GMT)
I'm getting Limited Edition first day, the 14th, I've been waiting too long for this and need to get it!

Metal_girl_Solid - November 9, 2007 08:06 PM (GMT)
This is going to be thé game of the year. It might even top MGS4, after I saw the gameplay of that game. I'm going to try to get my hands on the biggest pack there is, perhaps with some goodies, if there is one.

I'm going to get some other goodies at a game convention at the end of this month.

I love the storyline, the setting, the graphics, and most important of all, the gameplay!

The Snake - November 9, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
That game will be great :thumb:

Heh, you made a funny.

GOTY? Unless everyone with a PS3 and 360 buys it in the first week of release, AC can't get the main GOTY, which is a shame as many games are more deserving of the title than what we all know will win and AC is the main in my eyes.

Anyways, cannot wait to sneak around Acre, Jerusalem and Damascus (?), climbing up to the top of the buildings and stabbing some corrupt Templars/Saracens through the eye.

Luckily I managed to get the Limited Edition version before it sold out, hopefully the Royal Mail can pull it's finger out it's arse and get it to me on release day.

monkeymaguire - November 13, 2007 10:22 AM (GMT)
sold my 360, should have my ps3 soon and this'll be the first thing i buy, kinda reminds me of a funked up version of thief, that wat a cool game too, but this looks soo good,

and GOTY... halo3 much? fuck halo

rayofdoom - November 13, 2007 02:10 PM (GMT)
i was so amped fro this game ... till today, release date is 3 days away! and i really want to play this game because of awesome game play features. but... big fat hairy but, i feel that it would be morally wrong for me to play this game because of the HISTORY yes HISTORY because its a game about the "Hashasheen" cult who reeked havoc in the middle east at that time.

i know it's just a video game but... ah well

codemaster57 - November 13, 2007 02:54 PM (GMT)
Definetely gonna get it...
Now I just gotta decide on wheter to get the PC version or the 360 version.

krypton_ls - November 13, 2007 06:43 PM (GMT)
Finished CoD4 in 5 straight hours on regular on Saturday, and now waiting for this to be released on Friday, to keep me busy for the coming weekend.

Then there's another toss-up of Crysis/UT 3..... hmm.....

sadistic_greyfox - November 13, 2007 06:51 PM (GMT)
After i get fed up of COD4 online then I'll buy AC, no use in buying a new game when this one still has so much life in it.

wolfie - November 13, 2007 08:17 PM (GMT)
Well I read Famitsu review and saw the GT one and the game sounds exellent, but just now I finished reading the ING one and they hit the game pretty hard. I am bought it from ebay so no going back now. Has anyone play the game? is it good?

Ocelot11 - November 13, 2007 09:19 PM (GMT)
I'm getting it today if Kmart has it today (It's the closest thing). Or I'm getting it first thing tomorrow.

jonhou - November 13, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
Wauw, this must be the third Assassin's Creed topic I have seen in the last month. But it IS going to be an awesome game, so who cares.
Anyway I'm getting it tomorrow (two days before the official release). LOL

color - November 14, 2007 03:53 AM (GMT)
It doesn't come out for two days...

And yeah, I think the Gametrailers review is better than the one at IGN. (written by some chick...not to be biased..ahem) but they seemed to be bashing it for bad AI and story. However, GT seems to love the story, so I'm willing to side with them on this one. I'll be getting it...when I get a PS3.

sadistic_greyfox - November 14, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)
Dude Please next time look, there was an Assassin's Creed topic just 2 topics down.

***MERGED***

Ghost Sniper - November 14, 2007 07:40 AM (GMT)
Game is getting mixed reviews. The only one thing that is let down is that the enemy AI is fairly weak. Either way, I'm getting the game tomorrow.

Helikaon - November 14, 2007 08:09 AM (GMT)
Weak AI isn't going to stop me from playing this game, I've been playing MGS for nearly ten years, I'm used to weak AI.

Hopefully my copy should arrive today from the States

Preordering and Importing Games 1, Waiting for them 0

Roy Campbell - November 14, 2007 07:34 PM (GMT)
Well, I was possibly going to get it but after reading the ign review I've changed my mind.

phippsy05 - November 14, 2007 10:36 PM (GMT)
Got an email 2day saying mines been posted :D :D

Yackemflaber - November 14, 2007 10:38 PM (GMT)
I watched a review and now I am for sure not going to buy this game, won't even rent it. if anything Ill play it on a friend's console if they buy it, but it doesn't seem too special to me.

iAn - November 15, 2007 01:27 AM (GMT)
Spent all day playing it. Its amazingly fun.

9/10

La Li Lu Le Lo - November 15, 2007 11:26 PM (GMT)
I got it for PS3, but won't start playing it for a while. I still need to beat about 7 games. My brother tells me it's good. I really have to stop buying games if I'm not going to play them for months.

Solid Snake8 - November 16, 2007 12:29 AM (GMT)
Can't wait to play it.. While the AI doesn't seem great, I'm really looking forward to the freerunning aspect at the least.

iAn - November 16, 2007 02:00 AM (GMT)
Two days of playing and I'm finally near the 70% mark.

Woohoo!

g-fox - November 16, 2007 02:49 AM (GMT)
i jsut got the game the day it came out and it's awesome, the AI isn't all that weak, once about 20 gaurds gang up on you it's abit hard to beat them all,but i did, even when it's one on one it's sorta hard, unless you throw them off a building but the story is great, gameplay is great everything is awesome

iAn - November 16, 2007 10:25 AM (GMT)
Man, this game kicks ass. I now have all available equipment and my DNA health bar is almost maxed out.

Throwing knives is the shit. Its cool to fight a bunch of people using only your dagger, aggressivly attacking everyone while counter killing and throwing knives at people.

Seriously, you can kill like 5 guards in 5 seconds. Its awesome.

Man, that huge plot twist after you kill the executioner is awesome.

Great work, ubisoft.

La Li Lu Le Lo - November 16, 2007 02:39 PM (GMT)
Is anyone playing the PS3 version? My brother tells me it freezes quite a lot and it's also very glitchy.

I've had no problems so far and I've been playing it for pretty much two days straight.

It's an awesome game, I truly have no idea what IGN were sniffing when they approved and uploaded that review, AI isn't great with the common guards, but thats what they are, common guards, as soon as you start encountering the Templars and Mamluks you will be praying for that "bad" AI.

The free running is the best aspect of the game, this is probably the first truly sandbox game I have played, if you can see something not only can you go to it, but you can climb on it, if it has something sticking out on it (which every building has) Altair will be able to climb it, I haven't found a building yet that I haven't been able to climb. But thats not the best aspect of free-running, you know those annoying walls you find in Oblivion that you have to walk around to find a gate? Well this has those too, but you don't have to run around, you just run up it and along it...

True freedom.

The animation is amazing and the swordplay is ridiculously beautiful.

Main character VA is a bit shoddy (Altair's voice does not fit the character) but everything else is amazing on the sound front.

Just the review I was hoping to hear! That's pretty much what I was expecting of the game and hopefully if the mail was nice and fast I'll be playing it myself later today.

If you dont mind me asking, how long have you played the game for? You seem to have nearly fully completed it in a short amount of time.

Ultimetal - November 16, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
I got the game today, have reached the first large city and done all the investigating I need for the first assassination there and will continue it a bit later.

The best thing about this game is how fluid it all is. You go from sprinting through crowded streets to hopping across wooden beams to scaling buildings... and it's all really smooth. They did an excellent job on the animations. Watching gameplay vids is one thing, but being in control of it is another. The other great thing about it is that the cities all feel natural - they don't feel as if they were made specifically for you to be jumping around them if you know what I mean.

As I'm not that far in yet, I can't say much about the repetitive complaints. However I've already had to save 12 citizens from groups of guards for extra help, and that's already starting to get tedious. I hope that doesn't start happening with everything else...

Just two days going on three.

I'm one of those people who pick up on games and their controls extremely extremely fast.

So long as its not an RPG.

My favorite weapon so far is the dagger + throwing knives. Such an awesome combination.

Gawd.
