Alright, I don't know if this is kind of a stupid topic but I wanted to know anyways. What special characters have you gotten from MPO+? Just post them up here. If you got any with really high health, post that too. This can also be a list up to trade, I guess. Post up the characters and if you see some you might be interested, then let the person know and you can form a trade. Personally, right now I don't want to trade, but that's just me.

I know the game came out a day ago, but more people will eventually get it.

-Johnny (I know he may not be in the game at all but in the trailer, a GRU soldier with a J on his head was seen)

-Power Rangers (are these even really in the game?)

Yes, there are several special camo soldiers, well over 100, both Genome and GRU. I've seen them online.

I still don't have Johnny. But I DO have a sword Tengu. You can only get him in Normal mode final mission. There's him and a USSR soldier. I knocked him out and stuffed him in the truck since it was the rail bridge, and after I knocked out the USSR soldier, I won. But I want to get the High Tech soldier more. And yes, Johnny IS in this game. Here's proof:

Yeah, I tried knocking him out in normal, but as soon as I did, the game ended. There was only him in normal. It pissed me off because I want one of them.

But now you see that Johnny's in MPO+? Also, here's one of one of the PR Genomes.

Don't you remember the very first trailer where it showed all the new characters in MPO+? One of the characters was a GRU soldier. He layed down with an AKS-74 and there was J on his balaclava.

Hey guys, go to the soldier recruiting menu. There is a soldier list at the bottom. There are a tremendous amount of guys after the MPO original characters. Are those all special characters?

EDIT: Oh and before I forget, anyone found the female Ocelots? I think they might be AP scan exclusives.

Yeah, 130 different types to be exact. But, they include the original soldiers from MPO, so about 115 new types. But that is still a massive amount.

Yeah, I agree. I'm not going to bother trying to find all the variations though. If I can get one of each soldier type, that would be cool.

By the way, I managed to snag a Gurlukovich soldier with S rated Assault rifle and several Tengu swordsman.

Why is old snake and raiden in it anyway it makes no sence whatsoever.

Because it's an expansion pack which in no way whatsoever contributes to the original MPO story. Why not have them in it? ^_^

They are there just to add characters to online. Besides, why the hell not? (Not trying to be rude here). I think it is great being able to play as Old Snake before MGS4. Being able to run around as a Tengu soldier with a P90 and a sword is fucking sweet. This gives you a chance to play as some characters you have never played before.

-Genome soldier. From the "Huh? What was that noise?" goons to some kickass soldiers blazing with the FAMAS. Why wouldn't you want to play like that?

Besides, MPO+ isn't even really a continuity of MPO. Sure it has the same levels and a lot of the same characters, but it is basically just a noncannon game that you can play as a wide variety of soldiers and people from the MGS series. It doesn't add or detract from any story. It is just plain fun.

Okay, I got Old Snake, Campbell, Raiden, all the MPO uniques, Naked Snake, Tengu's WITH swords, Tech Soldier, Seal, Gurlukovich, and I ALMOST had Johnny.

He's in the prison on extreme, in a cell, I approached him, Campbell said take him to the truck. He vanished, which meant I had him, but then I died. Now I have to find a way to get him again.

I managed to get Naked Snake back, thank goodness. I was worried that I may never get him again. I found him in prison in western wilderness.

Okay, I have a question. I started the game and while I was managaing my characters, I sorta them via Unique characters and one of the first ones was a soldier named Jonathan. He's not wearing the outfit BigK approached and this is before I captured someone so does this mean that Johnny was in the original PO? Or did I get him from transfering?

As far as we know, Jonathan isn't Johnny. Johnny is the GRU soldier with the big capital "J" on his forehead, and can only be obtained through MPO+. Jonathan was in the original MPO, and played the part of the first soldier you capture.

Yeah, Johnathan was basically your second in command over the soldiers. Campbell game the orders, and Snake carried them out, but Johnathan could be seen talking to them in the main menu.

I think I might play Extreme again and look very closely for Johnny this time.

How do you unlock Naked Snake with the camo pants and no shirt? I played through easy mode, but didn't unlock him.

You can't. He was originally just a hack in MPO, and as far as I am aware, he was not included in MPO+ with this particular skin. :(

I don't see why he can't be added as a normal character. He looks better with the camo pants than in the stealth suit. :D

Just got a third red Genome, and a pink Genome. I'm still looking around for Johnny, male ocelot member, the KGB, and the Snake Eater GRU soldiers. It's pretty annoying that you can only get them online or through AP.

1up.com review states that Cyborg Raiden from MGS4 is playable but I'm guessing that's a mistake. The reviewer must don't like MG games to not know that and since he mocks the plot I'm guessing that's the case because Raiden looks nothing like his MGS4 counterpart.

Hey Ken, are the different colored Genomes available only through the AP scan?

Anyways, I managed to get a Female Ocelot today through the AP scan. I was walking around my backyard trying to get some soldiers and I got her, but I lost a maintenance worker because my guys didn't have hats and I lost an Ocelot because I didn't have any surveyors on the team.

I actually have an ocelot from the original MGS:PO

Anyway to get the colored genomes:
First you have to find a paint item, Heart of something, I found "Heart of J". But when you use it during the main screen it says it only works on white genomes. So get a white genome and find the paint. I have the paint I guess it's off for searching for a genome on extreme.

Heart of J (Justice) is found randomly on infinity mission, from the little frog things. It's random what color you'll get once you apply it to your Genome soldier though. Disappointed that I got 3 red ones in a row.

Wait, what? That's what the croaking frogs signify?? I always thought that meant that I was near the goal! That is really wierd. So when Campbell says that you can use the mine detector to find it that's what he is talking about?

Hah. When you hear the croaking you have to watch your sound indicator and follow it, crawling on the floor. If you use the mine detector, it'll appear as a yellow dot. You can get bonus items such as Heart of J, fashion Magazines, textbooks, and large rations/medicines.

yeah I didn't catch it the first time around, I actually missed what Campbell said.

Anyone upset about old snake? I mean he has great stats but I was expecting some unique weapon or trait. They should of made the camo suit actually working, I don't know I just would of thought a MGS4 character would of had more significance.

Old Snake did have a unique weapon. Who else did you get that had the SOPMOD M4? I was hoping he would have better stats, but I really don't mind. I enjoy playing as Solid Snake before MGS4.

Anyways, I got a Heart of Justice paint and colored one of my Genomes. He is blue. All I've seen so far has been red online.

Well I meant one that stays with the character like all the New Fox unique characters or Raiden.

Anyway I have the paint but I haven't found a white Genome on extreme yet...searching still.

Oh, forgot to mention this.

Was anyone else disapointed when they got Roy? C'mon, you have to play through expert infinity mission to get him, and for what? All stats are A, Sniping, Heavy Artillery, and Grenades are B, and he doesn't come with any unique/special weapon. His career is a head-hunter, but that doesn't really make up for it.

Heh, that sounds disappointing. What is head hunter exactly? I have a vague idea, but I'm not entirely sure about it.

It tells you what the solider is good at before you drag em to the truck.

I don't really bother with the headhunters. I'm constantly switching between my soldiers during each mission so that I can get each Ration and Med Pack, so I have boxes all over the place. If I see a guy I want, I just drop him off at a box and send him to the truck.

Anyone else got any 3 star soldiers? I found one on a map and instead of having one or two stars above his head he had three. I captured him but he only had 175 health and only moderate stats, so I got rid of him. For me, the stars really don't matter all that much.

Yeah, I didn't really understand the stars either. I captured one with 1 star, and another with 2 stars to test it out. The 1 star had way better stats. I put 3 soldiers with the Bait career in my sneaking unit to see if I'd get anything strong, but the highest I've found was a three star with average stuff. I'm gonna try putting in 4 bait soldiers, go through expert, and try to find a 4 star. :)

I went back to my MGSPO to check my cyber survival, since I forgot all about it. Really pissed me off to find that I won a Male Ocelot, and a Gru soldier!

All honestly I wasn't expecting much from him anyway? What's special about him anyway? He's not a legendary mercenary or anything. They should of gave of Gray Fox in Ninja form, that would be sweet!

I know it's not true especially since the game has been out for a while but I'm sorta hoping MGS4 Raiden IS in the game, like that one review said. I mean come on there, Raiden has MGS2 next to his name so that it's not......nevermind, I'm only lying to myself.

Still I rather have Meryl then Roy...hell even Mei.

I wish they had included Liquid Snake or Revolver Ocelot in the game instead of Campbell. I agree about being disappointed.

You have to play through extreme, which is very hard to get through without any times getting seen, just to get Campbell. His health is only 170. I have him on my Alpha team, but still, they should have put someone else in the game.
