When you complete an infinite mission, you receive an animal rank. I've completed several missions but I seem to get the same ranks; Night Owl, Tsuchinoko, and Pigeon.

Every mission starts with Rabbit. I've gotten Tarantula, Shark, Kerotan, mid-mission, but they never sticks.

Question: What are the animal ranks and what determines the different animal ranks?

I think you get more experience depending on how high of a rank you get. I've seen rabbit, tarantuala, scorpion, shark, night owl, pigeon, and Tsuchinoko (which I believe is the best ranking)

To get a higher rank, don't kill guards, don't get seen, and clear the mission as fast as possible.

What does it take to get a crocodile rank?

i thought i was getting a good rank when I was killing all the guards lol

i thought shark was a good thing.

I played infinity mission on easy. I didn't get spotted til i stage 3(accidentally) i had a tsuchinoko and when i got spotted it changed to tarantula.I killed one guard, it changed to scorpion, and when i killed the second guard it changed to crocodile. But in the end i always seem to get night owl or pigeon. I've got one hound but I forgot how i got it :wacko:

or is it impossible to keep tarantula, scorpion , etc.

The very best you can hope for is Fox. I had that for maybe 1 or 2 minutes once.

I don't think it's better than Tsuchinoko. You need to move through as quickly as possible with no alerts to obtain it. How can you do better than that?

There was. Although me saying it was the best rank was an assumption based on my MGS trivia knowledge. My bad if I'm mistaken on it (I most likely am.)

You get higher than Tsuchinko when you go thru the mission unspotted/no kills plus you recruit a few soldiers.
