ok, so ive just started playing the original metal gear, and ive reached a point very early in the game that has me stumped. i cant get the bomb suit. ive gone everywhere, tried everything i can imagine, and tried to open every door that i can, and ive got nothing. when i tried to get help from a walkthrough, i quickly realised that the metal gear in subsistence and the REAL original MG are different. as from looking at screen shots of the original, the layout is a little different.
according to all walkthroughs, when i beat shotmaker, i just exit to the right, go down and use lv2 key on the door. but this door wont open for me with cards 1,2, or 3?? AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH

you've to punch the walls in the basement, and bomb those which make a strange noise. ;)

thanks for the help. it got me back on track. unfortunately i gave up on the game within a couple hours because somewhere between fighting the duck man, and getting to metal gear, i lost a rank. so i can only carry 15 explosives. cracked the sads in a big way. can i fix this? or do i just have to play this thing over from the start?

^^^ Yeah i gave up on those games too, i would have liked to finished both of them but i just couldn't tell what the hell was going on or what i should do or where to go.
