Title: Visiting Home

Now, this is more along the lines of a question for the guys who are out of high school now. I'm at my folks place, so are Keiv, Ahmad and Kimia, and the damn thing is, I'm unused to it now. It truly feels like I'm a guest at home now, more than I am a brother.

Like, I enjoy being home and all, but I mean I never would've expected to feel this way even after I'm long since outta the house. Keiv doesn't feel that way but he makes excuses like when Mom tells him to do the dishes, he pawns that job over to Ahmad and says he's a guest in this house, and that he couldn't make him do the dishes, because Keivan's an asshole. ;)

But I mean seriously, anyone else feel sorta detatched when you're visiting home after living out on your own for so long?

I wouldn't know myself, but I can understand what you mean, the folks at home would have adapted and changed things after you left, so it probably won't feel the same, but thats just an understanding guess on my part, hope everything is ok about it with you, I'll probably be moving out in a year or two, so I'll probably get the same thing.

It's okay with me, I've been out of the house for eleven years now, it just feels weird, especially visiting my old room which is now the GUEST room..... <_<

Fucking Keiv's room is still his room, why does the oldest get the axe?! Why Allauh, why? :ph43r:

Hehe yeh, I guess it's similar to when I moved house from Wales to England, when I visited one time and passed my old house, seeing other people living in it was odd, brought back lots of memories.

Detached hell yea.. The longest stretch of time I spent with out coming home to visit I think was once 3 months. It felt like an Alien planet. Your parents look at you different and I dont know. Its just strange. You realize that your an adult and they now know that too. Plus your not a part of every event now that happens in that house. Your out of the loop. Like missing your father stub his toe.
