Man, you guys must be getting sick of me going on about Dead Or Alive, eh? Considering what a big pile of steaming cack the movie was, as the ultimate DOA fan, I, WHiTeFaLCoN, will attempt to write a script that would squash that poor excuse of a film flat, and show just how cool DOA truely is! I haven't started writing it yet (and I can't now coz I'm at work), but I have alotta ideas swirling in my mad old brain and I intend to plan and write the greatest DOA script ever witnessed! Every scene I write, I will post on the forum for you to read, enjoy and comment upon. I'd like your views on how to improve my masterpiece!

PLOT SUMMARY:
The story follows Kasumi, a female ninja living in a villiage in the mountains of Japan. One day, a mysterious visitor arrives at the village, and tells her brother Hayate a dark secret. Hayate soon disappears, and Kasumi (though young and inexperienced), sets off on a journey to find him. She is stopped by Hayabusa who knows where Hayate is and has promised to protect her in his absense. He blocks her way and they engage in a battle. She eventually defeats Hayabusa who lets her continue and tells her to begin her search in Tokyo. Soon she is persued and attacked by Ayane who believes that Kasumi is responsible for his disappearance. They team up and accompanied by Hayabusa and Lady Helena, have to battle against the evil DOATEC corperation (who have kidnapped Hayate for their twisted experiments) and the evil clones they have created and put a stop to the psychotic world domination plan of the main villian of the piece, Dr. Donovan.

Sounds good bud, also, when you have your first scenes ready, could you then edit your primary first post with a lil log line of what to expect in your script? Either way, looking forward to it. :thumb:

Yes, that's what is called a Log Line. ^_^

OK, here come chapter 1:

Dead Or Alive

PART 1: The Stranger
(The shinobi village at the foot of the mountains. People in the village are going about their daily lives: some are working, resting, laughing or talking and some dressed in black ninja gear are training. Between the village and the forest is a stream. Layed at the side is a set of clothes, with a blue bandana lying on top. After a moment, an arm rises from the water, holding a wriggling fish. A young woman with purple hair raises her head from under the water. She laughs at her latest catch.)
Ayane: (cockily) Once again, I, Ayane, master ninja prove my superior skills!
???: Do you always talk to yourself?
(Surprised, Ayane drops the fish and franticly looks around. She spots a figure sat on a high branch of a tree, his eyes closed.)
Hayabusa: 'Master ninja'? Hardly.
(Ayane soon realises that she is in the water with no clothes on, and covers her chest with her arms, blushing.)
Ayane: (angrily) Do you mind?! I'm not wearing anything!
Hayabusa: So I noticed.
Ayane: (still angry) Ever heard of something called 'privacy'?
Hayabusa: Shouldn't you be in the village, training?
Ayane: Oh come on, I've been training all day everyday! Can't I have a day off?
Hayabusa: The life of a ninja is a harsh one, Ayane. (leaps down from the tree) You need to make sure that you are fully prepared for what awaits you in the future.
???: (shouting) Anybody! I need help!
(Hayabusa does not hesitite. He moves with incredible speed towards the village.)
Ayane: (Shouting) Hey! Wait a minute! (punches the water)
(The village. Hayabusa spots two figures entering the village. One is a woman, same age as Ayane with long ginger hair, the other is an old man wearing a large coat holding a walking stick. He is being supported by the woman.)
Kasumi: This man needs help!
(Hayabusa approaches)
Hayabusa: Kasumi? Who is this?
Man: (weak) I...I must speak...Hayate...
Hayabusa: Who are you? How do you know Hayate?
Kasumi: Hayabusa, he needs help!
Man: (weak but aggressive) No! There...there is no time for...that...take me to him...I will only...speak to him!
Hayabusa: Very well, then.
(Hayabusa gestures Kasumi to follow. They both walk towards Hayate's house. Hayate is sat down, reading. There is a knock. He puts down the book and opens the door. Before he can speak, Hayabusa and Kasumi push past him and sit the man in a chair.)
Hayate: Hayabusa? Kasumi? What is happening?
(Hayabusa examines the old man. He appears to be fading in and out of consciousness. Kasumi is stood next to Hayate, looking at the old man with concern.)
Hayabusa: A gun shot wound. This man has been shot by someone.
Hayate: Hayabusa!
(Hayabusa turns to Hayate.)
Hayabusa: This man came to our village moments ago. He has been asking to speak to you.
Hayate: Why me?
Hayabusa: I do not know.
Man: Please...I...I do not have much time...I will speak only to Hayate...
Hayate: Then you shall speak to me. Hayabusa, Kasumi...
(Hayabusa nods and walks toward Kasumi. Kasumi hesitates at first, but allows Hayabusa to escort her outside.)
Hayate: I am listening.
(Outside. Hayabusa leans on the side of the house, his eyes closed and his arms folded. Kasumi stands next to him, deep in thought. Ayane emerges.)
Ayane: Kasumi? What's going on?
(Before she can answer, the door opens. Hayate emerges. Hayabusa opens his eyes, and turns to his friend.)
Hayabusa: What is it, Hayate? What did he tell you.
Hayate: Nothing. He died before he could say anything.
Hayabusa: Unfortunate.
Ayane: Would someone please tell me what the hells going on?
Kasumi: Come on, Ayane. I'll explain it all.
(Kasumi and Ayane exit. Hayabusa is about to leave when he turns to Hayate.)
Hayabusa: What did he tell you?
Hayate: How did you know I was lying?
Hayabusa: (smiling) You can never lie to me.
Hayate: (chuckles) Guess not. (serious) If I tell you, you must keep it a secret from Ayane and Kasumi, especially Kasumi.
Hayabusa: You have me word.
(End of part one)

PART 2: Journey Begins
(The next day. Kasumi is laying in her bed, asleep. There are loud knocks on the door.)
Ayane: Kasumi! Get up! Get up now!
(Kasumi slowly emerges, walking zombie like towards the door.)
Ayane: Kasumi! Open the damn door!
(Kasumi reaches the door and opens it. Ayane is gasping, worried.)
Kasumi: Ayane, whats wrong?
Ayane: (Quickly) Hayate has gone missing!
Kasumi: What?
Ayane: Come on! (she grabs Kasumi and drags her to Hayabusa, who is talking to another Ninja outside Hayate's home. The ninja bows, then runs.)
Kasumi: Hayabusa, where is Hayate?
Hayabusa: That is what we are trying to determine. I have sent out search parties, but no luck so far.
Ayane: I think that dead guy has something to do with it!
(They look at Ayane.)
Ayane: Well, think about it! Whoever shot him followed him here, then took Hayate to find out what he told Hayate!
Kasumi: But he didn't tell him anything!
Ayane: They can't know that for sure!
Hayabusa: Enough! The two of you will return home. We will leave no stone unturned.
(Ayane glares at Hayabusa for a moment, then walks away.)
Kasumi: Hayabusa, can't I at least help in the search?
Hayabusa: Go home, Kasumi.
Kasumi: But...
Hayabusa: (losing patience) Go home! In Hayate's abscence, I am in charge, his duties are now mine. (calmly) Now go, please.
(Kasumi slowly walks back to her home. When she gets inside, she sits for a moment, deep in thought. She thinks back to what Ayane said:)
Ayane: Well, think about it! Whoever shot him followed him here, then took Hayate to find out what he told Hayate!
(She bursts into tears, fearing that Hayate has been kidnapped and is in danger. At the other side of the room, she spots a sword. It was the one given to her by Hayate.)
*Flash back*
(Hayate gives Kasumi the sword.)
Hayate: For when you're ready, little sister.
Kasumi: When's that?
Hayate: Only you know that.
