I'm sure you could have fun with it, but it's really meant for online play. If I were in your shoes I would probably only get it because it is an MGS game, but me personally would not have fun offline. And there isn't a neighboor or someone near that you can "steal" their internet from?

It's only fun on single player for a while.

The whole real purpose of Infinity Mission (Single Player) is to get soldiers and weapons for the online mode. So, no, I wouldn't suggest buying it if you're not gonna play it online.

MPO+ is more of an expansion focused on mutliplayer gameplay and new soldiers , Inffinity mission aren't that bad but your gonna get bored of it that why they also added the AP scan but you need a wireless rooter for it but also you could try taking a small walk neaby your neighbord to scan the area , at the moment that hwta im doing cause i ddiN,t intsall my wireless rooter yet

I agree with Kendoki, I would advise against getting this for just the single player. This game is more based on multiplayer.

If your looking for the Single Player experience, get Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. (In other words the first one). You'll definately like that one for the single player (Story is awesome... just like any other MGS game).
