Title: Some stuff to say
Description: about recent incidents

Alright, as some of you may know there was a member recently that posted about 20 topics advertising his web site. At the time, there were no admins or mods present to take care of this problem. Even though we appreciate you members telling someone if they are breaking the rules, that doesn't give everyone the excuse to make a post there. We don't need 10 people saying "OMG your so fu**ing banned lol  :) :D   " If one person has already told them not to do it, then don't post there. Instead, PM an admin or mod so that when one of us does sign on we can take care of it. If I see something like this going on again with multiple people posting things like the above example, I will warn you (and I advise the other mods to do so as well)

To Mods - Make sure if you are moving a topic to the trash can to have the "Leave a link to the new topic in the source forum?" option say no.

Thanks Screen.

And another point...

Use the "Report" button. We will get notified even if we aint on the forum.

That would of been me. I was p*ssed off with having to lock and move loads of crap. So I was rushing through them.

Yeah report the post then PM an admin or mod.

Doesn't the report post feature send the report via email, though? That's like .. totally not good, at least for me. :/

Otacon - November 6, 2004 12:32 PM (GMT)
Why isnt it good? Just set it as not junkmail.

@screenshark: You're right. And I know I am one of those people who posted in one of those topics. I'm sorry :( . I apologise. I won't do that again.
That's a promise!

Spamming is somewhat like terrorist attacks, you can fight it, but you can't stop it.
That's frustrating.

Otacon I think that Phil thinks it's not good maybe because he doesn't check his email often or something, at least that's how it is with me.

Phil - November 6, 2004 09:24 PM (GMT)
Yes, exactly. If I am to be informed of a report, I want it to be via the forum, not via email, which I do not use regularly.

PM me instead! :P

Iron Snake - November 7, 2004 04:25 PM (GMT)
Ok i will guys

USP - November 9, 2004 01:49 PM (GMT)

Otacon - November 9, 2004 02:45 PM (GMT)
Ok then. Press report aswell so I can keep a record of them too. I like it so we know who reported it and how often its used etc.
