I know...its not something you aren't supposed to brag about...and I'm not so much bragging as I am confessing here...
But I am an AMAZING liar. My entire life I have lied my way out of the worst things....

There are many things, but since I'm in a hurry here, I'll just list a few events...

High School

I didn't do a SINGLE piece of homework in my business law class...so I ended up getting a failing grade...when my teacher asked me why I didn't at the end of the year, I simply put on my flashing charm and lied my ass off...she gave me 4 months to make up my homework and I aced the class...4 months was longer then the damn class lasted...

Now the reason I bring this up is cause of my lying today. My girlfriend forced me to go rent a video from a video store that I stole from a while back. I stole 4 Ps3 games, that cost $60 each...I figued I'd never go back there and just use the other video store and they'd never catch me. But she forced me to go there and when they said that I owed them, I flashed my smile and lied my ass off. In the end, not only did they take off the $240 I owed them...but I got the 3 movies I was renting for free...

After we left there it was time to go pick up our pizzas...where I lied again, got two pizza's for free, with a 2l of coke...

Anybody else out here, that just can't help but lie lie lie?

I can't say I particularly like it. But sometimes, if not most of the time I can't help but to lie if the only other option sucks, and even if it doesn't. Just really got pretty good at it I guess, and when that happens, you can't help it.

Not much like what you said, but I'd say I've gotten out of some pretty good situations. :)

Hate liars with an absolute passion. If and when I very rarely lie I feel disgusted with myself afterwards. No offence mate but sly liars like you really piss me off.

I assume you posted this on a public discussion forum for maybe the fact that you wanted it discussed? Discussion usually involves opinons and that was mine. I didn't flame or 'bash' you, I just stated what I thought.

And while we're here, reading through your post again I actually refuse to believe a video rental store discounted a $260 bill and then gave you three movies for free.

You don't have to believe, I'm not here for your entertainment. The reason I got the rentals for free were because they messed up when taking off the money I owed.

But I was hardly comparing the two, it was the fact that you wouldn't bash them if they came on here would you? Why? Because they were coming here to admit something, because they felt it was something they had to get off their chest... I had to get it off my chest. Many folks lie, some are good at it, others aren't. I lie when I need to honestly. It's not compulsive for me, but if I don't want to be rude, if I want to just get things done fast, if I'm not in the mood to deal with bullshit, I'll lie til my nose stretches 1,000 feet if I have to, simple and plain.

Look solidfox, I think people who lie regularly are pretty pathetic and deserve what's coming to them, honestly. I used to know a person just like you (by the sounds of things) except he was largly regarded as a joke because everyone eventually saw through his bullshit. Ummmm I try my best not to lie but I'm exceptional at it. Keeps straight faces, the tone of voice, everything. I don't try to but meh...it happens.

yeah, I've done my fair share of lying and I'm pretty good at it too, but only when it was absolutely necessary. in other words, when I'm super screwed and about to get in serious trouble.

It's been a long time since I lied. When I get in trouble I nonchalantly relay what I've done, no matter how serious. Lying only makes it worse, and when you tell the truth and you're so deadpan about it, I find that people take it as less serious than when you're mumbling as if it's something to be nervous about divulging.

I'm not saying I don't tell a few white lies but I'm not a fucking compulsive liar like this guy is claiming (and doing well proving). When people are constantly lying LIKE THIS GUY it gets to me. I've known people like him in real life and they really tick me off.

lying is ok in the right situations i suppose, if its not really harming other people. i once took a dump on a dinner plate and set it on fire at a party, i lied about it though. No one got hurt but it sure did smell alot haha, i took an anonymous poo

The other die i lied to my mom saying that me and my friends were haging out and staying at a friends house that night because every other night my friends have work when in reality i was just going to do musies. Just to CLEAR some things up that maybe some people are missing from BigK and Solidfox's overeaction to my post, I don't have a problem with little white lies..day to day ones that sometimes are acceptable in certain situations, it's just massive compulsive liars that seem to lie to compensate for something.

Anyway, fine, we all lie, little white lies, and sometimes a bit bigger of a lie. We lie about where we are to avoid people at times, if we have something more important to do, or to avoid an argument. Those don't classify as little white lies to me, nor big ones, like cheating on your wife, *which is adultry.* lies are lies. You can't make them more innocent by adding "little white" before them. A lie is a lie, and there's nothing wrong with that. But just learn to open up.

If I want to avoid someone, I'll probably lie to avoid them getting upset or hurt, and eventually be straight up with them, but I'm still deceitful for doing so, and though I do feel guilty, ultimately, I can live with that. You can't beat yourself up over these things. But you shouldn't be proud of it either, that's my opinion.

Haven't responded to this topic because of the ignorance that has spewed from it. Firstly somebody stated that my reaction was harsh or something like that...it wasn't at all. But my reaction comes from this fact, just like I mentioned to somebody...a while back I confessed the lose of my ex and for NO fucking reason, some people came on and made shots at me.

This is a Confession forum, and I mistakenly thought this forum had nice people that I could open up to and say things to without being judged or bashed about it. But by your reaction, I think I would have gotten better responses from a 4th grade special ed class.

I in NO way said I was a compulsive liar...in fact I only stated two days in my LIFE that I have lied. Are you guys gonna tell me that if you were about to fail High School and have to take a class all over again...and knew that you had a chance of not having to...you wouldn't use that lie to pass? School determines your life! Of course I'd lie to get out of it.

Anyway, I'm requesting this topic get locked because...its just stupid and to many people are acting childish. Psh, as if I never heard, "Oh lying is bad!" Get over yourself, you know you've lied to get out of something. Somebody even stated, "Your going to hell"...then admitted that they USED to lie as well. So by your logic you're going to hell to.
