Title: MGS:PO+ Online Community
Description: How is it?

ACX174 - January 2, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
So far from all my times playing MGS:PO+ Online, about 70% of the games I enter has some kind of pro guy that owns everyone which I can understand because they are relatively good, but then THAT pro guy happens to be a total ass. Like for instance, I'm sure everyone has seen the "Pro" people continuous say "0" after they are killed and then they type your name and call you "n00b". I mean seriously I'm average at this game but I'm so sick and tired of seeing these assholes think they own everyone else and complain when they die. I mean seriously, WTF is wrong with these guys? It's just a game and they take it so damn seriously. But there are times you get the good people, like the ones that salute when you die (I do this ALL THE TIME, regardless of them being a new player or pro) and that's cool to see that but more than half the time I usually enter a game with some "PRO" player being obnoxious.

Well these are just my experiences online, how are yours?

     yea I believe so they make so mad on their bullshit, some they think they are the best and all the others are noobs. The other thing is they make the sex part which irritates me so much the crouching when you are dead or alive switching the weapons and you know the rest, MGS PO is not meant in that way and it shames MGS so much

Unfortunatly, this is not only Portable Ops online but every online game there is out there. You are going to get these morons whichever game you play and while it is pretty darn annoying, you gotta take the bad and the good and just get on with it becuase surely you are still enjoying the game even with these people on there right? otherwise you wouldn't still be playing the game.

The moral of the post is: if they hit you, hit 'em back twice as hard :) .

ACX174 - January 4, 2008 01:48 AM (GMT)
Of course I enjoy this game haha. Yeah I guess your right, there are always those idiots that act like that. I consider them noobs regardless of their skills simply because they play the game like it's the ONLY thing they are good at lol and probably suck at life. But meh whatever, just being nice doesn't hurt you know.

Kudos to the pros that say "Good job" to any noob that kills them haha xD and don't complain when they die. At least it's respectful to new players. ^_^

Some "l33t" guy was holding a match to see if anyone could beat him. I took him down a couple of times with the SVD, he called me a noob for using it, and booted me from the game. >.>

Firstly, the reason why people say "0" and they are so pro is probably because they strafe and aim for headshots while you would spray like crap til they die. Now u see, for example you are about to get a headshot from a guy, but his teammate just autolocks on you and keeps firing till u die while u are trying to aim. How would you feel? And just so you know, saluting after killing someone actually makes them feel noob or useless or something. I mean, just think about it. A guy shoots you till u die when u were about to kill him and he salutes cause it was fun to kill you while he survived. I usually salute only when I kinda dislike someone after killing them. And you people who find that it is unfair to you, you guys probably autolock a lot which makes them say "0".

kgray531 - January 5, 2008 01:46 AM (GMT)
That may be your take but I always find saluting to be respectful of a good match. I am having a problem with getting kicked by the hosts after I kill someone and I don't know why. I have a good connection. I read the rules of play, but for some reason when I kill someone I get either "nominated for ak kick" or A "warning to be Kicked" and then actually kicked. Is their any common reason why someone might be gettin kicked? I'm not great at the game and it ususally happens after my first kill. I even say Hi to people when I enter.

Kendoki - January 5, 2008 08:19 PM (GMT)
I salute to be respectful, not to be an ass.

I don't understand how auto-locking is supposed to be noob/cheating. It's how you target, and (unless using an assault rifle) there's no way to get head-shots while auto-locking. So what's wrong with it?

It is hard to find people who are good and respectful and the only 1 I can name off the top of my head is Mirror Bullet because he does (the good job thing) and he is good. sorry to go off subject. It depends on the rooms u go to. I generly stick to vr where it is more relaxed and a bit more friendly ( I have some rare soliders I don't plan to lose) Rc though is alot more competitive and thats where u would get most of the rude remarks if you ask me. Course going into clan rooms you won't always get a warm welcome always. I say it is ok over all. alot of people are jerks and alot are decent folks too. Just ignore the ones who use the words Nub or Noob because if they are calling you that then they generly got nothing to back it up and I find most of them easily tamed with a good ol shot to the head with my black genome.

holyclericz - January 8, 2008 09:05 AM (GMT)
Well RC isnt that all bad. Just make sure you hold select and press L after you die so you fulton away and you wont lose ur soldiers. Alternatively, you could just white flag after every death, but of course, where's the fun in white flag when you can just fulton and still keep the enemies soldiers(If they fulton too you won't get their soldiers).

ACX174 - January 11, 2008 04:01 AM (GMT)
Nah holyclericz, I disagree. To Salute means to be more respectful, not making fun of other people. If they REALLY wanted to make fun of you they would just simply T-Bag you.

Heh, no I don't autolock. You know if they circle you while holding "L" and "Square" to kill you, well yeah I kinda get angry about that, but you know what, if your good enough you won't even have to worry about the circling and shooting you till you die, you would probably kill them first. So what if they if they do those noob tactics, they do it because they don't know how to do true strafing yet and that's something you have to learn over time and everyone has done the autolocking before when they didn't know any better. Only the idiots think they are "ZOMG T0T411Y 1337 PR0-N3SS" are the people that keep saying "0" and call you n00b which actually to me means that they may be very skilled but they are noobs themselves for calling other people noob.

holyclericz - January 11, 2008 10:41 AM (GMT)
So you mean you don't mind being ganged up and autolocked and called noob all the time? No offence.

ACX174 - January 12, 2008 03:39 AM (GMT)
Of course I'd say wow that sucked that I get ganged and autolocked but as I said before in my last post "if your good enough you won't even have to worry about the circling and shooting you till you die, you would probably kill them first." and also "they do it because they don't know how to do true strafing yet and that's something you have to learn over time and everyone has done the autolocking before when they didn't know any better." And just to add to it, no I don't really mind, and not like you are 1vs3 other people, you have your own team so you wouldn't normally get "ganged" up like so. Plus I have gotten ganged up before, you just deal with it and most of the time as I said you will probably kill at least 1 or 2 if not all 3 if all they do is autolock you and your using strafing. I'd say I don't really mind getting autolocked, it's not like it's the end of the world that you died from it, you just keep playing. So I don't know if you finished reading the last post or not but I pretty much answered the question already.

What do you mean me getting called "noob"? The people who circle you while holding L and Square are the people who are the noobs and they don't say "OWNED NOOB" or "0". I'm talking about the pros. If the noobs knew any better they wouldn't be the ones doing that, just obnoxious pros. Yes I hate it when pros say that to other people. Again, already answered in my last post.

Also like I like I don't autolock anymore, I use different Button Configuration with some modifications.

And finally, none of this even matters, as long as you are respectful to others, then all this is about is just having fun and games shouldn't be even taken seriously in the first place (Unless your in a gaming tournament haha).
