Liberty Corrupts

Surely this must be a facetious joke.
Liberty?
Liberty is... liberty's voodoo!
It's paganism, pre-Judaism,
It's corruption!

It's an abandonment of rules and law,
It's the middle finger in the face of authority,
The flash of the phallus to the embodiment of morals,
It's defiling human decency!

Is that what you say,
As you sit on your island of self-idolatry?
Your ego becomes too big for your body,
And you float on that squidgy substance that I call your arrogance.

Corruption, you say? I would rather be corrupt
Than a pawn on your chessboard,
The puppet of your will,
A piece of plasticine that you mould and contort for your own pleasure.

I don't live by your standards any more.
You're revulsing.
You're the shit on the shoe of humanity,
Or is that my place in your society?

I would take liberty over your rampant conservatism any day of the week,
I would create a new week so that I could smash your false values,
And show you that I won't be controlled.
The poor will suffer and the rich will profit.
It's the way that you live, it's the air that you breathe,
It's the way that you pretend that you're better than us somehow.
You're scum.
Hierarchy doesn't apply to you.
The pyramid of power crushes you underfoot.
And it's the only thing that you deserve.

When will a man come along who will fight for the right of others and not for the gain of himself?

Does that man exist?

Maybe he did. One day.

Maybe he was killed.

Slaughtered.

Snuffed out.

Maybe he was placed on a cross and made the crutch of the people, defiled day in and day out by people's casual regardment of him as a God.

No. That can't be right.

I don't believe in fairytales. I don't believe in mythological worship.

I'm a realist. If you say that liberty corrupts, corrupt me.

Imbue me with evil and place me on the streets for all to see, the birds in the trees throwing stones at my face and my feet! Marring my path and corrupting the visage of freedom. Tie me, bind me, sodomize me, do what you please! I won't be a victim of your superiority complex. I won't. I won't. I won't.
