On my 5th play through on Extreme, on the 19th lvl I had FOX. I was suprised when I saw it because I didn't think I was that good.

Then the last level....

I accidentally dropped one of the Tengu's off a cliff...and Im guessing it counted as a kill...because when I finished the level, I had 6 kills and 7 alerts....with Doberman rank.

lol it still hard for me to complete a mission in hard mode because they have so many soldier in a a single stage and sometimes to map is huge. I always get spotted and i hate so much the guard dogs lol.....


And Doberman its first time i heard of it some people told me that the best rank was fox or something correct me if im wrong

Actually, the best rank would most likely be Foxhound. That is how the MGS rank system works. Generally the top four are Hound, Doberman, Fox, Foxhound.

Anyways, my highest is getting several Doberman's on Extreme. I had a Fox once, but lost it when I was seen in one stage.

Sometimes its almost impossible to be seen.

There's been several times when Im less then 5 feet away from the guard with no place to hide.....

Im guessing for you to get FOXHOUND you have to beat Extreme with no alerts and no deaths?

My highest rank would be Hound on Extreme.

@Major Spetnaz: Yes, those are two of the requirements, but I'm sure there are more like how many bars of damage you take, how much food you eat etc.

I dunno about "highest", but TSUCHINOKO is the No Alerts, No Kills rank. I've got it on everything up to hard mode, but extreme is a BITCH with that. I've started off a level with a maintenance crew guy staring right at me. I was TSUCHINOKO up to lvl 14, and then he saw me. I didn't even have time to move.

Has anyone gotten No Alerts/Kills on Extreme yet?

Best I've gotten is DOBERMAN, which is a nice +9000 to xp.

I was doing wonderfully last night, then lvl 13th came and my luck change.

Up to there I had no kills and only 2 alerts. But in those 6 levels...I managed to trigger the alert 10 more flippin times.

It all started with the SEALS....

Last night I got FOX, had to play through Extreme three times in a row though. It was my 10th time through, so maybe on my 20th I will get FOXHOUND rank.

THe HIghest I gotten Was Eagle Got That Twice Really Still Trying For Hound Fox Or Anything Higher Than That I Guess :ph43r:

iv had foxhound once but lost it, all you need is 15 captures no loss of character's no kills and no alerts. iv had the codname fox 7 times now, you can get up to 5 alerts, one kill or one loss of character, to be a fox, iv had 2 alerts and no loss of characters and no kills, but thats it. if you get more then 5 alerts your doberman.

I just got TSUCHINOKO today, no alerts/no kills. I'm playing the US version, and I guess I'll try for foxhound now, which is that plus 15 recruits.

Just completed Extreme for the 8th time and got Fox. A little stunned to be honest. I got to around level 18, said 'hound', I was happy with that, my previous best. Spotted Two Gurlukovich Soldiers with Three stars, recruited them. Got to the next level, the Doberman rank came up. Astounding, thought I better not lose this. Spot a FOX with three stars, recruit him, advance to level 20. Still Doberman. Lure the Tengus to the truck, knock three of them out and recruit them "Fox" appears on screen. Knock the other one out and finished.

5 Alerts, 11 recruits and no kills. Not too shabby I suppose ^_^

The highest ive eer seen on my own screen is Tsuchinko, it goes higher than that? i got that codename on the 11 stage on extreme.

0 alerts but i killed everyone in my way with silenced XM177E2

You see that's why you were Tsuchinoko. If you dont get cought your Tsuch. around 7-8 level if you dont kill anybody then you start to get higher ranks as you progress in the levels . But you could get hound or Doberman if you have like 2-5 kill's. And also i was fooling around yesterday and i got cought 6 times and i think one death and i still got fox. that is odd. lol

How much is the EXP when you get FOXHOUND rank?

I got Fox again, 6 alerts, 20+ recruits, and bizarely enough 3 kills. Killed the last tengus or I would have lost my Bait Squad.

you get a whopping 30,000 xp! but JUST for the soldier who beats the last mission i believe.

Damn, 30,000 exp? Aight I'm getting that from now on. Yeah I already knew about the EXP and RANK goes to the soldier that beats the mission.

hmm am just wondering here whats kind of a rank is eagle ??? can any one tell me ?

I dunno but I always get eagle when one of my characters seem to die with over 10ish alerts.

I got Fox with 6 alerts 50 some captures and no kills.
