Now obviously they mean your solider is better in that skill. But I remember reading in the manual that some S2 and S3 stats have special effects.
Does anybody know what they are?
I've got a few S3 soldiers, and I've used them, but I haven't noticed anything that made me glad that they have such a high skill.

Well obviously, but why would they include it in the manual then.
Now this was just a guess of mine, but I was thinking with something like S3 in handguns, you'd be able to richeot your bullets with more then just the SAA. Kinda like Ocelot did with the Makarov in MGS3.

There is no "Special" effects for the S2 and S3. It just means more accuracy and faster reloading. That's it. No extra abilities or anything like that.

with guns : s3 have rapid reload + less recoil if u crouch ot lay down ,it also does more damage
with traps : u plant thm faster + it does more damage
rpg : extra rapid reload
s3 cqc : u do more damage to stamina if u use cqc ,with knife : more damage + u use those weapon fatser

I had a pink genome with S3 in traps, never got to use it though.

Well I got like 15 soldiers with s3 skills...3 in CQC.

What makes me mad is that I've captured and trained a bunch of guys.... NO S3's!

Training guys won't ever get you an S3.
Play through infinity mission on extreme with headhunters. You'll usually find atleast one soldier that is capable of an S3 stat each play through.
You know it when you see it because if they can reach S3 in that skill, it will be red when you see it.
Another way of knowing that you got an S3 soldier is if they are carrying a textbook with them.
If they are, you'll likely have to train all there stats because the type of textbook you get dosen't necessarally mean they'll have S3 in that skill.

I found a guy with an S3 in Tech well not at first but I had to work to get him there.Don't really know if it was worth it.
