Anyone play it?

Probably the best football game since PES3. It's the first FIFA I've owned since FIFA 03 but seeing how I was an ISS/Pro Evo veteran I never felt the need to buy FIFA but with PES2008 being....such a horrible ga,e this year I decided to give FIFA a try and it's realism astounds me, it trumps PES in every department, player movement, long passing, shooting.


Anyone else like FIFA?

Yeah, is the new PES really that bad? I've not played them in a while but I always thought PES completed owned FIFA, I only got FIFA because it was part of a PS3, 3 games for £360.

Played FIFA 08 only once on my friend's computer .. I will be getting it in a week or so. I had the new PES .. didn't like it so much.

Yes, I play FIFA 08 quite a lot these days. I usually just stick to Manager mode, but I sometimes play online, usually Be A Pro mode, so I can blame it on my team mates should my team lose. :P

Fifa really better than PES nowdays? PES4 was still tons better than FIFA 2005. Haven't played any newer one's though.

Amazing, easily the best football game ever, imo. This is all i have played in the last month or so, it never gets boring. i love be a pro mode, set it to tele cam and choose to be any, its so easy.

Well Fifa > PES this year. I usually just buy the best out of the two when they come out.
Usually play Fifa Online nowadays but my God that connection is bad.

No, not at all....there is very few things bad about it.....

and really Fifa isn't better than Pro Evo....surely you can't be serious....Pro Evo is actually a Football game......Fifa is more like a end to end arcade game..

FIFA is easily the best sports game ever and an absolutly amazing game. However, the latest one (FIFA 2008) I was really disappointed with. The pitch is smaller, they tried too hard with the graphics, the ball moves around as if the pitch was on the moon, the off ball change character thing is now not existant or diabolical, the game is a failure. FIFA 07 was much better.

Aw hell no Roy, Fifa 07 was a shambles. I pitied that game except for it's manager mode.

I bought Pro2008 for 360 a while back but due to the fact it was not like the old PS2 games i knew and loved i thought fuck this shit. Online has terrible lag, shitty frame rate on PS3, barely any editing options on kits, cant write or draw on the kits anymore, no more creating boots, diving doesn't even work, gameplay is unrealistically fast. for the first time since FIFA 2003, FIFA is much better than PRO. Pro 6 was better on PS2 than on 360 and Pro 2008 proberbly is aswell. Konami need to sort out there next gen Pro evo series before they lose all there fans to FIFA. I'm thinking about buying FIFA soon i'm actually loseing track of real life football without no games to play alongside it, lol.

Pro owns Fifa in every department.

It's a far more realistic sim than Fifa. Especially 08 with the players superhuman defensive AI.

Yeah I hate that about 08 you can barely move on that game.
But i think 08 has 1 up over Pro this season.

Think you've got your games mixed up there buddy! The pace of FIFA is perfect, PES is too fast and dictates that you always play down the wings, you can get from one end of the field to the other by dribbling in a matter of seconds, and you can skin everyone with Phil Neville! What I like about FIFA is that it's just more complex, you have to build up you attack, hold the ball up, switch play around a bit and the shooting and long passing are brilliant. PES and FIFA have switched around, PES is the arcadey game and FIFA is the sim, once you get around the learning curve and don't try and play FIFA like PES you'll enjoy it more. FIFA requires patience, unlike PES you won't get 20 opportunities a match, you really have to work to create an opportunity, then it's a case of taking your chances.

Be a pro online mode is awesome, truly superb.
