Me.
I can't feckin' wait. Event of the year!
Helikaon - January 28, 2008 06:01 PM (GMT)
The first and second series were simply amazing telly, but the third left a big feeling of "meh" with me.
I guess I didn't like how the "Others" were explored, they should have left them as an unknown.
That part in the second series where it showed them walking through the jungle shit me up, I would have preferred to have kept them that way.
But still, the previews I've seen have looked pretty cool.

You mean the part with Walt dragging the bear right? Hah. That was intense.
I get what you mean though, for the longest time the others were this huge mystery and everyone was afriad of them but it just turned out that they were just a bunch of average people with guns which is cool nonetheless but I think they should have kept them in the dark a little longer than they did.
Helikaon - January 28, 2008 06:19 PM (GMT)
Yeah thats the exact part I'm thinking of, I remember watching that and my heart nearly stopped...
Weird, thats only ever happened once since, with Season 3 of Rescue Me.
But yeah Lost is great.
Gatsby - January 28, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
I'm probably the largest Lostphile of all time, I've been counting down this Thursday for the past month.
Cardboard Box Junkie - January 29, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
Can't wait, this is one of the greatest shows, and hot damn does it hook you in. I just have to know what happens at the end of all of it, the suspense is killing me (and killing the other 40 billion Lost fans I'm sure)
I'm really interested to find out what Adam and Eve (the two corpses they found in the caves in Season 1) are for. Because in interviews, JJ Abrams has said they were there to be used towards the end of the show to prove they knew where they were going from the start. That should be interesting, though we probably won't find out till Season 6, lol.
Young Snake - January 30, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
I can't wait until the new Lost episodes hit our TV screen. Though the last season leaved me pretty puzzled about the ending, I'm gonna stick to the hope that the next season will answer some of my questions. Otherwise, there's gonna be a lot of shouting.
Cardboard Box Junkie - January 31, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
Just a friendly warning, since I'm pretty sure that the U.S. airs the episode a few days or so before they air here in Australia, that if you post shit in here without the appropriate spoiler tags,
I WILL hunt you down and murder you
Have a nice day :)
Null - January 31, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Yup it airs tomorrow night.
I am waiting till sunday to see it so I am of exactly the same sentiment as CBJ.
Cardboard Box Junkie - January 31, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
I thought as much, it airs on the 7th here, so almost a week between airing in the US and Oz.
OcelotSnake - January 31, 2008 01:38 AM (GMT)
Simply. Can. Not. Wait.
Given the complete mindfuck that was the last episode of season 3 I expect that we'll still be waiting for a lot of answers, produced by the niggling questions from that flashforward, till later in the sesason. They have said that they'd be showing the flashforwards every episode now (if I'm remembering correctly) in the official LOST podcast but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
Metalmalitia23 - January 31, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
There showing the last episode of season 3 right now on abc with little notes on the side helping explain the story and giving little tidbits of info god i cant fucking wait till tommorow
Gatsby - January 31, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
While the flash forwards will be a recurring story advice, there's still going to be flashbacks I believe. That way, when it comes to characters like Ben and Richard Alpert, we can still find out what the hell is up with him, and when it comes to characters like Jack and Locke, that we won't need to see another 50 boring flashback sequences for them.
Aquila - February 6, 2008 12:26 AM (GMT)
First episode of Season 4 was sort of meh, was good enough but not for the first episode - they needed something special.
OcelotSnake - February 6, 2008 12:34 AM (GMT)

Oceanic Six?tonameonethingcough*
If you've been watching things this far along you can't go expecting them to ditch the Hitchcockian style (also bare in mind LOST still has another 3, including this one, to go till the end).
Gatsby - February 6, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
The Season 4 start was excellent, it did what it needed to do. Established the flash forward mechanism, introduced a few new characters, and set up what I'm guessing will be Lost's greatest arc to come yet. We've always been kind of iffy on the Others, I mean, they were sometimes good, sometimes bad, they were more in the type of grey area as far as they stood.
However this time, we know that we'll be facing a form of pure evil in the form of the upcoming people who were supposedly Penny's crew.
Plus, the whole establishment of the Oceanic Six was an excellent arc, I can't wait for this season to kick into gear.
Null - February 6, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
OH.MY.GOD.
LANCE REDDICK HAS JOINED THE CAST OF LOST!
I freaked when I saw him across the room in Hurleys mental institution. I'm a bit of a tv/film geek (although I don't show it much on here) and he was one of my favourite characters from the TV series The Wire. (check if out now if you haven't) He's going to be such an excellent addition..and you know he is just pure evil.
''Are they still alive Hurley?''
Gatsby - February 6, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
Speaking of Hurley, I'm glad that Charlie is back, goes to show that not even death can keep a good character down.
Null - February 6, 2008 01:29 AM (GMT)
Aye, it brought a warm fuzzy feeling inside to see Charlie again, even if he wasen't really there. =(

Bollocks, sorry CBJ I assumed it aired the same time for you as it did for the EU. But then I realised in the grand scheme of things AUS is always shafted right to the bottom of prioritys for everything. And I thought EU had it bad.
EDIT:
I am the bearer of great news my friends!
WWWWWWWWIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Gatsby - February 7, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
As long as the strike ends before the month is over we'll get our full season. YESSSSSS
Cardboard Box Junkie - February 9, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
First episode = Awesomeness
That is all.
skywalker - February 12, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
I was wondering if anyone had any theories about something I noticed on lost. Not sure if I should spoiler tag this but just to be safe.
Ben stole a gun and could have taken a hostage to escape but instead he tries to pump 2 bullets into that chick wearing the bullet proof vest. If he kills her he is dead meat. I think he knew that she was wearing a bullet proof vest because he could have taken a hostage, shot someone else, or made a good attempt at an escape. I think this girl might be his friend he had when he was a little kid in school, you know the one that gave him the dolls. Any thoughts anyone.
RossSP - February 14, 2008 12:37 PM (GMT)
It's an intersting theory but
I thought she died in the purge. I thought Ben was the only Dharma survivor, but who knows.
Actuaully, come to think of it, who the hell recruited Kelvin into Dharma if there was no one left? Or did the purge take place after he joined?
Arrrgh, mindfuck.
skywalker - February 14, 2008 06:53 PM (GMT)
I really have no basis for thinking she is that little girl, just that it seemed that it was bens only friend so I thought she could come into play later. I just was reading a thoery that all of those people that made it to the island were let on the island by the island. Something like The pilot was supposed to be flying oceanic flight, the ghost talker is there to solve some murder, the nerdy guy, (Daniel?) was supposed to be on the flight, but they had nothing for the girl so that thought crossed my mind. And I don't know about Kelvin and why he was still alive. Maybe they needed someone to push the button all along and wanted to waste his time.
Young Snake - February 15, 2008 03:30 PM (GMT)
Lost is finally coming back to us, I've been waiting forever. I feel so behind. :(
rayofdoom - February 15, 2008 05:05 PM (GMT)
how the fudge do you get the spoiler tags to work? i cant say anything because they are "spoilers"
Helikaon - February 15, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Press the button then stick yer text after that.
and finally type in:
At the end, for some reason the button doesn't do the end tag.
Gatsby - February 15, 2008 05:18 PM (GMT)
This is already shaping up to be Lost's greatest season yet, the flash forward mechanic is absolutely brilliant.
I'm glad Sayid finally got a piece of the action this time around. I love how he fell in love with a girl similar to Shannon again, and then watched her die in the same way Shannon died. Plus that revelation that not only is Ben off the Island, but he is in charge of Sayid is just off the wall fucking crazy.
rayofdoom - February 15, 2008 05:26 PM (GMT)
this is garbage, ive already a closing tag but it don't do shit!
skywalker - February 15, 2008 06:23 PM (GMT)
For me I just type what I want to be in the spoiler, then I highlight it and click the spoiler button. If that doesn't work its because you computer will not allow pop ups, try to hold in control while doing it if that doesn't work. And you have to do it in lower case, if you type spoiler in caps it doesn't work. That is your problem with your last post Gatsby.
It appears Sayid is being forced to protect the remaining people on the island by killing off people trying to find the island. At the end while talking to Ben he looked like it was hurting him to be doing this but like it was neccassary. Holy shit that was a killer ending.
Tamashi_7 - February 15, 2008 06:46 PM (GMT)
Gatsby, your tags have been fixed.
Word of Advice: Like Skywalker said, type your tags out in LOWER CASE - they don't work when capitalized.
Gatsby - February 15, 2008 06:48 PM (GMT)
Ok, I was getting confused because it didn't show the spoiler box when I was previewing my posts. Thanks for fixing my tags.
Also yes, but then that brings a lot of curios points. That kind of kills the theory that Oceanic Airlines is associated with the people looking for Ben on the Island. And since that girl seemed to be related to Naomi, it seems that whoever she is working for is still after Ben. It's also interesting to note that it seems like the Oceanic Six are protecting Ben. Man I'm loving how this show is shaping up.
skywalker - February 15, 2008 08:08 PM (GMT)
I don't think the Oceanic six are protecting Ben, I think Sayid is trying to protect the ones left on the island and in order to do that, he is killing people trying to get to them, under Bens orders. Was the bracelet Elsa was wearing the same one Sayid got off Naomi, or was it a different one tying her to Naomi?
rayofdoom - February 16, 2008 02:56 PM (GMT)
yeah that was a shock in the end. it still raises questions about how they got out? i think they end up killing the other "others" or hold them hostage on the island, they steal the ship and get back to the real world with ben's help and probably his spy, i think it's this minkowski dude (Benjamin from "short circuit 2").
yeay got it to work pfft
RossSP - February 18, 2008 05:22 PM (GMT)
Anyone got any idea why objects seem to physically travel slower than their respective electromagnetic signals over the island? Something to do with The Swan's research? And does anyone else think that there's some kind of force surrounding the island that can only be bypassed at certain bearings, like what Daniel told Frank to do? Might be the same reason that Desmond desribed the island as 'snow globe.'
Gatsby - February 18, 2008 05:51 PM (GMT)
Well, it seems that the Island is out of temporal sync by AT least half an hour. And really it's too hard to say why, there are plenty of mysterious things going on with the Island, I don't have to tell you that. I mean, Daniel is obviously aware that something's very fishy, however we also need to account that there's an inside man among the freighters. Maybe it's Daniel? Surely that'd be an easy way to kill an obvious threat(Sayid), and generally getting rid of the Helicopter would obviously be something that'd be in Ben's interest. I bet that Daniel told Frank to follow the same bering for a reason. And we'll only find out next episode really.
