PS3 or PSP

i could get the PSP on my birthday....but im not so sure it would be much fun


if i buy the PS3 it would take me about a year to buy it cause i have to save some money....hmm i really want to have all the MGS games...

I would've bought the PS3, at least first, if you have plans of bying both. This isn't the right place to ask though, so this should be moved.

But if you are a big MGS fan I would say get the PS3 first so you can play that right away. Then whenever you can, get the PSP for Portable Ops.

You can't move it anywhere yourself, you'll have to wait for a Mod or Admin to come along and move this somewhere else. I guess you could always PM someone to speed up that process.
Sadly, my Mod powers don't extend to MGS3. :(

Anyway, I suggest buying a PS3 first, but then again, I got myself a PSP recently and no longer have enough money for a PS3. This is no problem though, as I only really want MGS4, and I should be okay money-wise by the time that comes around. In your situation though, I'd go PS3 now, and it'll take less time to save up for a PSP. There's my thoughts, take them or leave them.

If at all possible I'd suggest trying to borrow a PS2 from a friend who either doesn't use it much or has since bought a 360 or PS3 and refuses to go back to their PS2. Maybe you could even buy it off them for real cheap, but that would interfere with saving up money for the PS3/PSP.

After that I'd go out and get the MGS: The Essential Collection, which is only $30 in America. As far as I know that's the best deal you can get in order to buy all 3 of the MGS games, and if you buy a backwards compatible PS3 you can still play all of these games on it. Of course, if you don't buy a backwards compatible PS3 you there won't be any sense in owning all of the games without a PS2 anyways.

Anyways I'd go for a PS3. It's a console, it will be the only console that can play MGS 4 and the earlier models are backwards compatible.

The PSP is pretty good, but it's just a handheld. It only really shines if you travel a lot by bus, train or plane.

PSP will have about two more years before the new model will come out... PS3 will have at least 6 or 7 years before the PS4.

Go with PS3, and if you're a MGS fan, which I think you are, you're going to want to play MGS4, right?

Buy first the PS3, and then spend some money for the PSP.

I'd say the PS3, Prepare for the bomb of MGS4, cause it's gonna be a big one. ;)
