Anyone got some great game franchises that have been concluded so far?

I got a couple.

Concluded:

Syphon Filter: Concluded with Syphon Filter: Logans Shadow. (2007)
Socom Fireteam Bravo: Concluded with Socom Fireteam Bravo 2 (2006)
Halo: Concluded with Halo 3 (2007)
Forza: Concluded with Forza 2 *great game* (2007)

Soon to be:

Metal Gear Solid: Soon to be concluded with Metal Gear Solid 4 (2008)
God of War: Soon to probably be concluded with God of War III (2008?)
Soul Calibur: Soon to be concluded with Soul Calibur IV (2008)
Resident Evil: Soon to be concluded with Resident Evil 5 (2008?)

I wouldn't say that Halo, MGS, SC, and RE will be concluded considering all the spinoff games that'll arrive.

Splinter Cell will probably be ended after Conviction.

There is two Kingdom Hearts games coming out and strong rumours of a KHII sequal.

Well thats what I was talking about. Rumored that this shall be the last, all of which coming out soon.

Halo franchise isn't technically dead. But for Master Chief's story, it ended with Halo 3.

Oddworld series.

I never played the Xbox games but I loved the 2D platforming in Abe's Odyssey and Abe's Exodus and it seems that my hope for a return to form on one of the next gen consoles (coughPS3pleasecough) is never going to materialise.

Ive always had great fun with KH shame that its ending. I beat Sephiroth on both ah memories.

Final Fantasy needs to end, though.

The thing about Final Fantasy though is the games rarely follow the same story as the previous with the exception of FF7 and 10. It will probably never end, in a sense FF is the James Bond of gaming.

As stated above, FF RARELY follows the same plot, so there is no reason to end it. Always a new RPG with a new story. Only bad thing for FF recently is the new composer shift...which let down XII a tad...but that series is a massive juggernaut, second to....mario...?

It's practically over since Resident Evil 0 came out, or rather that gun game for the Wii - RE4 was completely different, no zombies, no Umbrella... and you can't have a RE game without those, so I perfer to think of RE4 and RE5 as spinoffs. Superior Spinoffs. But it's a shame that so many questions were never answered and so many character's fates weren't revealed.

And, BTW, Mortal Kombat has been a dead franchise for a while. For some, it died back in 1995 with MK3, some for MK4. It died for me after Deadly Alliance, because the two after that sucked horribly.

Hell yeah, MK died after MK 2 for me...they totally ruined it when Midway picked it up...and I was pissed cause they killed Cage too... <_<

But still, I got the most recent one for the Wii just to play it with my bro for old times sake.
