Are you signed up on any other Metal Gear Solid Forums? Yeah, only TUS but they are a bunch of pricks.
If 'yes' to the above, how many and for what reason? I didn't know MGSF existed before I joined TUS.
Do you feel this forum helps you in any way? If so, please state. Well It's helped my understanding of the MGS story greatly.
Do you come to this forum mostly for MGS, or something else? My main reason use to be mgs related stuff, now I come on for the banter aswell.
Do you enjoy your time spent here? Yep most of the time.
Do you approve of the forum layout altogether? Well It's a little dated but we're getting a new board soon anyway.
Are you satisfied with the work of the moderating team here? I've had problems with ex-moderators just being general jumped up pricks but otherwise yes I am satisifed.

How would you rate the forum community here? Umm..for the most part it's a great community. A few assholes but thats to be expected on any net forum.
If a "n00b" came here, would you rather help him out, or just report him for doing something wrong? Well..this question is a bit weird, you could of phrased it better. But I'd sooner help him than condescend him and scare him away from the forums. We need members to keep the community going, and it's no good if people are assholes to new members.
What's your favourite section of the forum and why? I have a few..TSF's private section, gaming chat and sports section.
Out of everything that's happened during your time here, what has been your best experience so far and why? Err..ruining the britney spears downward spiral thread. You know you laughed you liars.
Do you look up to anyone on the forum, for inspiration? If so, please state whom. Well I woulden't say inspiration, but I guess one day i'd like to be able to keep my cool as aswell as Cobb does in certain situations.
Do you have any aims to achieve on the forum here? Not really, I don't particularly care about being a moderator..perhaps to just convince most people that I'm not that all of a bad guy lol.

It has all the latest news on MGS4, and the previous MGS games are explained well by members of the board so there's always a reason to come back.

Something else nowadays, because I don't have a PS3 and watching MGS4 makes me sad because I'll never get to play it!

Yes.. 2 1/2 years strong.

Yes, definitely.

Are you satisfied with the work of the moderating team here?

This forum (out of all the other forums I visit) has the best moderating team and the forums are always well kept. Arsehold members aren't tolerated for very long and flaming is kept down.

If you could change one thing on the board, what would it be and why?

Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that I would want to change. Everything is the way it should be in my opinion.

How would you rate the forum community here?

On a 1-10 scale, an 8.5 or 9

If a "n00b" came here, would you rather help him out, or just report him for doing something wrong?

Depends if the "n00b" is willing to accept help.. If the person is, then great I'd help them, but if they're a jackass then no.

What's your favourite section of the forum and why?

Movies & TV Chat/Gaming & PC Chat

Always news on new games/movies which saves me the trouble of attempting to seek for information myself.

Out of everything that's happened during your time here, what has been your best experience so far and why?

Uhhhhhhhh, I'd have to say the various "Caption Competition" threads and finding out new news on MGS3.. I was uber excited for that game because of these forums.

Do you look up to anyone on the forum, for inspiration? If so, please state whom.

Liquidon Snake was a G.. Most awesome member on here. The Cobbinator, and ADJ have always been awesome as well. I'm not sure if I look to them for inspiration, but I respect them the most out of everyone on these boards.

Do you have any aims to achieve on the forum here?

Not in particular. Perhaps just to stay as an active member of the community.

Will you continue to visit us long after the release of MGS4?

Yeah, definitely. I'm not even going to be getting MGS4 so the fact that I'm still on here right now means I'm here to stay.

I think they can be too harsh or too lax at times, but they're only human and have lives away from this forum, and overall I think they do a good job.

I'd add more interactive options such as an arcade, to spice the place up a little, especially now because the forum is quiet before the release of MGS4.

Very good, there is a mix of countries, cultures and personalities.

I respect many people here, namely the moderators, org leaders and the owner - Pricey. I have respect for various other members also.

No big goals, perhaps get a little more involved and spend more time talking with certain people.

Yes, I hope so. I won't be getting MGS4 so it will nice to hear about it.

Sure. It's helped me improve my spelling, grammar and punctuation. On only that, but reading the perspectives of other people have helped me come to a greater understanding of things.

Needless to say, it's also helped me understand MGS on a level I never thought possible.

Well, it started out with MGS, obviously. However, whilst I still stick around for MGS and all the other wonderful discussion, I'd have to say I stay for my friends and the general community – if the forum didn't have these great things, I'd be long gone.

Hah. There have been a lot, actually. Sad and I had some fun with the whole 'SnakePenis' incident. Then there was Kam getting owned by Cobb in the staff forum with that screenshot of him looking through the trash porn topics. Classic.

Oh... so many fond memories. It really does bring a smile to my face just thinking about it.

Oh, hell yes!

the_cobbinator – The guy is freakin' incredible and a wonderful role model for one to have. Basically all I've learn about being a mod has come from him. But it does go deeper, as well; he shows a level of understanding that not many people have – which, in turn, allows him to do his job so well.

Refluxe – Like Cobb, this guy has made nothing but a great impression on me, and really shows the pinnacle of being an awesome member. Both his serious and playful attitudes are great, and when he chooses to invoke them and apply them to situations is most wise.

sadistic_greyfox – This fucking guy, I don't know how he does it, but he is just freakin' amazing! I really admire how he basically has the respect of the entire forum, and is able to get along with everybody so damn well.

Cardboard Box Junkie – Pretty much just like Sad; he's just amazing and has this level of understanding that not many people have. He's been a really great guy to learn from over the time.

Soriddo Suneku – Man, this guy is just badass, and watching him has taught me a few things regarding a mod's approach to situations. The guy is generally awesome.

Err... yeah – I think that's about it.

Definitely, but it seems like since the Christmas layout was up something happened that made the overall forums look a little wider than normal. Then again, it could just be this new laptop I'm using. Either way, the layout looks great.

Nothing really.

About 7-7.5/10. It would be higher but the recent influx of people who can't type correctly and seem to know very little about MGS has dropped my rating a bit.

So far it'd probably be the MGO trailers I've found here because I didn't know about them prior to seeing them on these forums and watching them fills me with joy thinking I'll be able to do it myself before much longer :)

Inspiration, no, but so far Tamashi's done a great job of providing me reliable answers to any questions I've had. There are others that have provided reliable information from time to time on the forums, Helikaon and Young Snake are a couple, but there are others and my short term memory is garbage. Also Solid Snake8 is a cool MMA guy who I talk to time to time.

Mainly just to establish myself as a member who actually knows how to type properly and use proper grammar, as well as being someone who knows what I'm talking about when I speak, but when I don't know what I'm talking about I know how to keep my mouth shut and not act as if I do know what I'm talking about :)

Well it depends what he/she did wrong if it was obvious spamming I would report it but if it was something minor like a 360 mgs4 topic id probably just tell him that theres been a block on 360 mgs4 topics and reccomend that he/she read the rules.

Definently mgs4 section when theres a good topic, but when theres a media blackout id have to say the opinions section.

It's not easy learning decent English grammar in Norway.This forum has helped me with my grammar and spelling. I also feel I've learned a lot more about the MGS games and getting to know other devoted gamers.

That would be the MGS section, even if I do spend a fair amount of time in other sections. The MGS section is where we can get an in-depth look at the MGS saga, and also theorize about the upcoming MGS4.

Yes I do. I often times look up to Tamashi, because he has a very extensive knowledge of MGS and always posts help for anyone in need. I also look up to cobb because he is just an all around great guy.

Too many to list – it’d be a disservice to point out specifics. Suffice to say that between being a lowly recruit in MGR to one of the old codgers in DC I’ve enjoyed my time here immensely. Hope it continues for a long time to come.

I suppose Acid Dye (Ben) from back in the day when I first joined was an inspiration of sorts. Seeing some of his work really ignited the passion I have for graphics and helped give me the incentive to turn it into a full fledged hobby.

People get bored sometimes and that can lead to consequences sadly.

I find these forums, entertaining, and enjoyable, I like the way things work, and the members are all happy to inform yet no patrionaise myself or noobs for asking questions, which some people might find totaly obvious etc

The help given during discussion of facts and the theories about the storyline, and then the help given to members concerning gameplay, as I have noticed is excelent which is obvious concidering how much the members know!!

I hope to be a returning member for many a year to come.

Been a great 9 months, come a long way in the gameplay stakes thanks to the challenges and advice of others. And my friends here, I consider them true friends.

Are you satisfied with the work of the moderating team here? I am. Best mods I have seen on a forum. A lot I have seen on other forums are too far up their own asses. I am most impressed with the MGS staff, who deserve their position without a doubt. Great standard of moderating. I'm happy that people actually get warned for flaming, unlike a few places I have seen.
If you could change one thing on the board, what would it be and why? I can't think of anything off hand, but I will try to give it some thought.
How would you rate the forum community here? 9/10. Great set of members here, who have mostly all made my time here very enjoyable. You can have a little joke here, the community is intelligent and fun.

I would try to help him out as best as I could. Story-wise, maybe not so, as I'm not as good, but gameplay wise, definitely. There's always someone to ask questions, so it won't do any good to get mad at them, and they're generally friendly.
What's your favourite section of the forum and why?
Definitely the Leaderboards. I am so happy we now have this section. It's just so good to compete with people, and the last month has been so good for us. I only wish more people would get involved, I have a fantastic time there. There's nothing like that feeling for me.
Other than that, love the MGS forums, and the Patriots is fun.
Out of everything that's happened during your time here, what has been your best experience so far and why? Probably the insane competitiveness I have had with Skywalker. Especially when we still doing the Ocelot unit in 29 secs, it was so tight.
Oh, and the End, of course, recently. It's been brilliant, very hard, but very enjoyable.
Also as a guest, watching the duel mode, knowing I was going to hit it hard.:lol:
And the friends I have made here have been amazing, that was good.

The obvious first. Take-Chan and Adnan Kauser as they're just such amazing MGS players, a true inspiration. Other than these guys, there are a few people, but I think I'll keep their names to myself..... Pretty much everyone here has my respect though.

To go even further in MGS, get better, take more world records, and challenge the guys I've mentioned a little closer. Also, perhaps promotion to full mod one day.
Maybe also improve my confidence around people, somehow. And also make more friends on here, I hope.

Of course. I'll always be around, hopefully for a very long time yet, playing all the games, and talking about it all.
