Have any of you play shadow of the colossus.
It has a very original idea and it's so fun to kill those colossus' or colossi.

Yep, amazing game for sure. And underrated too. I have played the copy of my friend a lot and have been looking to get the game myself some day, but I don't know if I'm willing to pay more than 15€ for a game, which I have already completed once.

I rented it, lost interest after the second Colossus, haven't touched it since.
The game's fucking beautiful though. I remember when I approached the first Colosi, I saw it walking toward me. Then I saw it lift it's arm to attack me, and I thought I was actually watching a cut scene, so I stood still and watched the fluid movement. And suddenly it's chand hit the ground knocking me to my feet and I thought I was in for one hell of a ride.
And then I actually fought it.

Yes, oohhhh yes  loved this game when it came out. I had extra cash and decided to see what it was like. One of my best PS2 games by far.
I've completed it I'd say about 5 times, never been able to get up that God foresaken tower though, real pain in the ass lol
Probably one of the best looking games I have aswell, was stunning for the time and it had no laggy moments or jagged textures. Simply it was a great game :P

The first time I played it, I'd rented it expecting a Final Fantasy-esque game. After I reached the first Colossus and fought for half an hour I got frustrated because I had no idea what to do.
Two weeks later, decided to give it another chance, and now it's one of my favourite games, ever. I will never play it again though, the replay value is terrible. But it was frikkin' awesome while it lasted.

I enjoyed it, but got bored. Fight, go back, ride, repeat. Got annoying for me, and so, I didnt complete it.

It's always sounded like a great game to me but I've never seen it in stores and have still yet to play it myself, despite watching numerous videos on the internet and wanting to get my hands on it.
I've heard from more than one source that the replay value is shit, but that's fine with me as long as it's not too expensive.
Can anyone tell me if it's a dual-layered disc? If it is I'm afraid my PS2 won't be able to read it, anyways, so I'd be out of luck there. I'm also hoping the MGS: The Essential Collection doesn't have any dual-layered discs

It's one of my all time favorite games. It's definitely not a conventional game; I think of it as an art game and it clearly shows how we can use video games as a medium *there ya go Jack Thompson*.
@Webbie: You should definitely check this game out. The replay value is low because as, you fight only different types of colossi in the game .. that's it, there are no minions to kill and side quests to complete, not even people to meet. But its up to you to figure out how to kill a colossus which involves elements of platforming and combat because these creatures are HUGE and each one of them is different from another. And trust me when I say - you will break your head trying to figure out how to kill some of colossi. I forgive the bad replay value of this game due to the fact that it is an experience unlike any other. BTW, the story is great and thought provoking too.

I liked it but eventually got bored because it becomes too repetitive still a good game while it lasts.

Apart from the bits where I got lost trying to find the next colossus, the game was mega.
