I completely agree you you, man. It has been a long time coming, and it looks great so far! I just hope they don't screw it up, because I'm a massive freak for Aliens (and Predator, for that matter).

I don't know if I'll buy it. I still remember "the scare-pipe" scene in AvP2 ... this damn pipe scared the shit out of me and I stopped playing the marine campaign :wacko: :(

To this day, I'm amazed they have never the AVP 1st person shooting games for the computer over to the consoles. They were badass, playing as Space Marines, Predators, and Aliens...

This new Alien game sounds intriguing, however, AVP is the franchise that's now popular with the recent sequel that was very good. But I'll keep an open mind.

Meh i have played AVP on my computer and that wasnt too good still ill give this one a shot though.

dude every Alien game I've played (AVP 1 and 2, Extinction) has been amazing, I can't wait for this.

Sega better not mess this up, Aliens have great potential

If you liked Extinction, try Starcraft, it was the game that Extinction ripped off, and it's far superior.

Ahh, brings back great memories of playing Alien Trilogy for the Playstation 1. That game was amazing. It was terrifying when these things jumped on the screen.

I can only hope they make this game great to pay tribute to the brilliant film that is aliens

ya i think i know one thing you're not supposed to do. Shoot them like some people do in Halo or other FPS when their already dead to see how much blood comes out. Their blood is deadly so don't make blood go everywhere is my advice ^_^


btw does anyonee think it would be awesome to have a little mini-game or something where you play as an Alien hunting humans?

I'm guessing something like The Darkness online, where theres humans and aliens and you choose a team at the beginning.

I got my Issue of GameInformer yesterday and this was the main Cover topic. Theres an online campaign where you and 3 of your friends can play. The game is based on the movie "Aliens" and not the franchise as a whole. You can not be the Alien.
It takes place on the ship Sulaco before Ripley arrives in the actual movie. There are 4 main charectors in the game. Winter, Bella, O'Neil and Monday. You will be able to hack into computers to unlock doors. You'll be able to weld doors shut. Everything that you saw in the movie you will be able to do in the game. You'll be able to give your squad commands but not like in "Rainbox Six Vegas". Youll be able to see how much ammo your team member has for it is displayed on there weapon.
The Aliens are intelligent. They can rip you threw the floor or the ceiling. If they feel there unmatched they will wait till theright moment to attack. If its getting its ass kicked it may run and hide then unveil its self at the right moment or come back with more Aliens. There will be different types of Aliens. Think of Bee's. there are gaurds, warriors, and scouts.
In single player your team will be killed off slowly but they havent figured out what to do in multiplayer. If they kill you off in multiplayer then there will be a player that wont be able to play for the rest of the game. They recognize this problem and are working on it but they dont want to ruin the Amazing story that single player will have. Keith Schuler (Lead Designer) "we have squadmates that need to survive, basically, until we kill them in the story.
