Unless you can read Japanese, there's not much to be seen in those scans besides a few pictures that uncover nothing new. Still interesting, nonetheless.

You've got a point, Tamashi, it's true that you won't understand anything if you're not very into the Japanese language, so that's true. Nevertheless I think the box art looks splendid, the cover looks very awesome indeed. I can't wait to open it on the release date, but it's the content of the name and not the cover that means something. I'm happy it's dark though, it wouldn't have done the deal with a light cover this time, since it's a game in open warfare. Thus, I can't wait.

Theres three new MGS4 images on the first one, under the "Briefing": one of Sunny, one of Otacon and one of what looks like Snake sitting next to Campbell.

i'm sure translated versions will be released in other mags soon EGM or PSM? it seems like an official press release to me rather than just a magazine article, it has the KP and Konami logos all over them as well as a message from Kojima and his signature, so we will just have to wait ad see.

/\ Sadly, PSM is no longer in operation. They printed their last issue a few months ago. This is really sad, considering that they had the utmost enthusiasm for the Metal Gear series.

I fuckin love the artwork for this game I am really really considering getting a tattoo of the boxart on my arm. My b-day was a couple weeks ago and a tattoo was my present but i still havent gotten one yet. Who thinks the boxart would be a good idea?

Actually PSM turned into "Playstation the Official Magazine". It's not really the same. They replaced Chris Slate a while back also.

The left has solid and his gang, does that then mean on the right it's liquid and his gang? which, of course, appears to include the likes of Eva AND naomi!

Well, Eva does work for the Chinese governement...and Naomi's being held captive by Liquid so, it makes sense...

I think there's something else there, being held captive is one thing but being on that side is another.

naomi working FOR liquid, could have big implications, it will be a very big twist in the story.

No, they wouldn't completely reveal which sides the characters stand on yet. That would ruin plenty of plot twists.

Also if you notice the two of them are on the "outside" of Liquids group (the FROGS, Vamp), both branching out. Naomi is being forced to work for Liquid and EVA is the leader of an anti-Patriot-like Liquid...-and also you notice that Drebin is on the outside too, so I'm willing to bet that those not grouped together with Liquids group (Naomi, EVA and Drebin) represent the "rogue" characters, with no true alignment.

Also Young Snake raises a viable point. But we shouldn't taking things so literally. If that info is to be taken as totally correct then Ed is closer to Snake than Meryl and Campbell and Vamp is totally loyal to Liquid.

Maybe it is how they connect with one another. Look at Drebin for example he is on Liquids side of the scan but i think because he takes the PMC guns and makes modifications on them is why he is over there.

Or maybe the magazines graphics department just liked the look. I think its safe to say, for the reasons Heli pointed out, that people are simply reading a little too much into this.

Yeah it's probs true, we're reading too much into this, though this mag is from famitsu, which usually have all the iside info.
