Descend into Darkness

What is the darkness?
What am I?
Should I even TRY?
To resist this power,
That makes me cower.
Should I give up,
And give in?
Should I let the darkness kick in?
Or should I fight,
Without any fright?
Should I let the darkness take over,
Or should I take over the darkness itself?
Should I give in to the fright?
I have to choose to make things right,
Even if it takes my entire life.
Give in,
Give out,
Kick out,
Or kick in.
You make the choice what's right or wrong.
I won't give it a second thought.
Should I have fought,
Or should I have got caught?
Fought with the darkness,caught by myself.
A dark,evil,creepy shadow,
It makes me feel quite shallow.
It's as if It's me,and I'm not It.
It lives inside me,and I live inside it.
Who takes control?
I truly don't know.
It feels odd,that I can't ask God.
I better try and find out by myself,
Before I get the need for some serious help.


I and (mostly) my friends think It would make good heavy metal lyrics.
But It's mostly just something I came up with because I just got inspired.
*Waits for JCC to come and make a laughing stock out of lyrics*

Darkness is an area where you cant see anything you are a human and you shouldnt even TRY making poetry.

Why do people think Darkness is a power or emotion IT ISNT Darkness cannot have power over you it might make you feel scared because you cant see anything but thats it.

"Should I give in to the fright" is the only line that is correct so far because darkness makes small children and some adults scared (No offense). As for the rest of this quote I dont see why it takes your entire life to turn on a light.

What the hell has darkness got to do with what is right or wrong. As for the third line i said before you cant fight darkness because it isnt a physical thing unless its the name of a person or place etc. Same deal with the last line Darkness cannot catch you.
