Title: 28 Days later/28 Weeks later
SYN - March 3, 2008 09:18 AM (GMT)
Sorry if there is a topic already, just bought em both the other day, and might i just say, DAMN IS 28 Days later one of the better movies ive seen regarding zombies. The characters are good, it took me a bit getting used to Selena (she was such a bitch at the start of the film lol). I loved the alternate endings especially the
first one on the list which has Jim die from the gunshot wound. It just seemed to fit the movie a bit more, I liked him, but someone had to die in the end I thought.
The music in the movie just blew me away, i loved it. Glad they kept the same music director for both films.
the one part i do not understand was the end in 28 weeks. Why did they bother showin Paris, i thought they were taking the kids to the US?

They show Paris because it means that the rest of Eurasia/Africa is fucked. It likely means in the sequel 28 months later that North and South America will be the only continents not infected
They're awesome films and 28 days later reinvigorated the zombie genre but the second film wasn't as good as the first. Also the ending a bit ridiculous; you’re telling me they wouldn't blow up the channel tunnel, the only land link standing between Eurasia and a zombie apocalypse
I thought the movie was pretty average really, it had it moments but really it wasn't that good. And screw having the 'rage' virus or whatever, real zombies are much cooler.

I liked 28 Days Later, but after the military was introduced in that film, it became really lame. You were rooting for the zombies to eat the soldiers when they revealed they wanted to rape the women.
But 28 Weeks Later is one of the two horror movie sequels to be better than the originals, ever. The characters are more interesting, the conflict, the plot, the twist at the end... wow. By Far, the best horror movie of 2007.

I loved them both, but Weeks was better. Days got kinda boring. And yes, the soundtrack in both movies is incredible, works really well.

Thats kind of the point.
I enjoyed both films, Weeks more so because I saw it in cinema. The opening scene was brilliant and reminded me of Pueblo from RE4 and the music throughout the film was amazing. The two kids were pretty good, Doyle was a cool character and the Infected themselves were awesome.
Days had it's moments, but I prefer Weeks.

Weeks is better? I always put off watching it because i saw there was some little kid in it and it most movies when there is a little kid it cause the whole damn thing to be predictable, like they have to constantly trying saving this kid cause he's too weak and cries throughout half the movie. I'll pick up the movie this weekend and give it a look.

thanks Ocelot Snake,
i wasnt sure if they meant that the virus did spread. I was kinda hoping for a bit more closure on the kids. I bet they will push it off on the boy because his dad, Dan, did bite him in the subway.
Yeah. I know that was the point. But the zombies are supposed to be the antagonists of the movies, not the heroes. I guess Days was trying to change around that formula in a good way, but it failed, not even close.
