I was thinking about buying MGS: Twin Snakes but I need to know if its compatible with the Wii. Will I just need a classic controller for my Wii in order for it to work?

All Gamecube games work on the Wii.

To play them you can use either a classic remote or just an ordinary Gamecube pad (You pulg it in underneath the flap on the top, memory cards go in the flap behind it)

I can officialy state that the above post is correct, I played twin snakes for the first time last summer, a friend of a friend has a Wii, and we decided to play Twin Snakes one evening. Fun six hours of gameplay, concidering I hadnt played the Playstation version in years lol

I had a wii at christmas and got bored so i sold it.. Then decided to buy Twin snakes so i had to buy a gamecube.. How life kicks you in the balls heh?

It works fine, I recently got my Big Boss rank on my Wii. As long as you have a Gamecube controller and a Gamecube memory card, you'll be fine.

My brother has one. I do admit that it is a "kiddy console". My 5-year-old cousins love the thing. Its an awesome system though, backwards compatible with GameCube games , controllers, and memory cards. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is also a fun game and playing old school games on the Virtual Console with the Classic Controller is lots of fun.

It's a nice system that you can just pick up and play when ever you're bored, or when friends are over who aren't gamers.

Man, anyone who says it's a 'kiddy console' like it's a bad thing obviously knows shit about it. It does have a lot oof mature games (Metroid Prime 3, No More Heroes, Red Steel etc) and the 'kiddy' games like Mario Galaxy, SMBB etc are usually pretty sick. So don't let anyone kid you out of it with that argument, no sir.

I use my Wii mainly for the older games that I can buy online. Been trying a few new ones recently at the rental store, but never anything as fun as my ps3 and 360 out there for it.

On that note, I was thinking about renting a gamecube game for my wii but no longer have the gamecube controller. So pick Twin Snakes for example, does the classic controller work for it? Don't think Twin Snakes is worth going out and getting a gamecube controller for... <_< so just wondering.

Um, I have no idea if the classic contorller will work or not, but probably not. Just get a Gamecube one, they're cheap as chips now.

Each time Nintendo comes out with a console, everybody says it's a kiddy console. Sure, a lot of kids play are known for playing them, but that's also Nintendo's key demographic. Someone's gotta satisfy the kids.

The Nintendo Wii is not a childish console. It is an excelent console, especially with games like Zelda and Mario. Sure, some games are a little light-hearted, but they are not all childish. And yes, you can play TTS on the Wii, if you have a Gamecube controller.

I wouldn't call that "fanboyism". I'd just call it a little support for a console that is so easily shunned by a majority of people for it being "childish".

Ok I think the wii was fun like months ago. Now I got tired of it since the freakin games that are coming out are awsome and played them all and now all I can see at walmart is cheap retarded wii games! LMAO! WTF!?!?!?!?!? :lol:
